i hope they show uhh mario and sonic at the sweden sexolympics
Mario and sonic at the paraolympic games has been a dream of mine for a long time.
The introduction shows all the cast being injured in terrible accidents.

Might be a tad insensitive though...

Who tf cares about nintendo and direct anymore... Do people actually care? do you care??
The partner showcases are mostly games that have been on Steam forever, but I still have to watch on the off chance that Capcom announces something new (that's where the MvC Collection and Capcom Fighting Collection 2 were announced).

Obviously millions since that is how many people tune in, not to mention the hundreds of thousands who watch reactions to them on overrated YT channels, and the fact that it is by far the most popular console of this generation and not to mention the best selling in such a short period of time in HISTORY, I'd say that's a really, really silly question. Pretty much everyone care about Nintendo and their directs.
Sony? Not so much.
Xbox? Who?

Such an embarrassing question.

Nintendo usually does a good job of finding interesting and/or well made games for the Directs, so it's worth a watch. Usually these partner games are multiplatform, so I can buy them cheaper and in higher quality on Steam or Playstation, but there are so many games coming out these directs really do help with curation. I still remember learning about Shovel Knight on the Wii U Direct.

I swear everyone pissing and moaning about game key cards are crisis actors at this point.

It was more interesting when Iwata and Miyamoto presented it. Always much more engaging to listen to people who love their craft show what they've been working on, than corporate shills paid to read a script.

Australia (AEST): 11pm
Hey, people actually remember we exist! Blimey, that's amazing, mate!

Soooo many sources don't bother to include AEST when including other converted times, which is frankly quite annoying; great to see you didn't do that!

Give us at least two or three good surprise in there cause if its just about ports in key card format only at full price again or crappy little titles...
No Thank You!

Now if only I could remember how many hours ahead NZDT is from AEST. I remember it's 5 hours ahead of Japan time, but they left out Nintendo's home country in the article.

Not really bro... Nintendo is using it as a bridge to escape physical releases entirely in the future, and they're using it to test the waters. Switch 3 might go full keycards only, and Switch 4 purely digital with game ownership being a thing of the past. It's a slippery slope we're on that soon we won't own any media of any kind, and that's a future that sucks.

I'd hope we'd get something different from the Switch design, after the Switch 2. I'm honestly quite tired of this design, and how it was only slightly modified going from Switch to Switch 2.

Like, sure, the DS Lite -> DSi -> 3DS were all clamshell designs, but Nintendo tweaked that clamshell design enough to make each iteration feel unique enough to be special and new.
It's even more obvious with previous home consoles; the SNES was different to the NES, the GameCube was an entirely unique design, the Wii was a complete overhaul as well, then the Wii U yet again. None of them looked similar, and thus none of them felt similar either - unlike the Switch and Switch 2.

People mistook the Wii U for the Wii. I've even seen store adverts for the Wii U where they paired a Wii with the Wii U gamepad.
