Capcom is looking to release new Mega Man, DmC, and Ace Attorney games going forward

Capcom has a variety of beloved franchises that haven't seen much in the way of new entries as of late. A financial report from Capcom looking back on 2025 shows that the company did well, due to the successes of new Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter titles. The higher-ups at the company, however, believe that Capcom needs to have more frequent entries into some of its more stagnant IPs in order to continue growing in the years ahead. Specifically, it looks like we'll be seeing remakes, new games, and ports of three series in the future: Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man. Capcom also plans to expand on one of its development offices by 2027, leading to hiring more employees to work on these theoretical games.

Capcom owns a wealth of globally popular brands, such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney. We aim to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of titles in these series to new hardware. By enhancing brand power and cultivating loyal fan bases, we will grow these into core IPs.

wait.. didnt the creator of mega man leave capcom on a terrible negative note? lmao.. how is that gonna work out? also it took them a damn decade to bring these series back?.. also the devs screwed up on ace attorney story.. character so like.. i.. sigh not gonna even question it because the more i think about the logic the more my brain hurts ☠️

wait a sec.. if they're bringing them back.. the look on how they've done there new games.. i yeah no this is gonna be for modern audience only

If only they could fix their buggy AF Monster Hunter Wilds game. That piece of crap is so unplayable due to 0 optimization

MegaMan will never be the same... they will keep following that ecipe from recent titles, without the same success in terms of playablitiy and enjoyability from old classics.

Far as mega man goes?
Legends 3.
a back to form Mega Man X?

Feels like obvious things to work toward.

Wouldn't mind seeing a new Breath of Fire; feels like a good thing to adapt MH engine stuff toward if to avoid franchise burnout.

Dear Capcom,

Please resolve the fucking Apollo/Trucy plot point. I was 18 when it was brought up, I'm fucking 35 now.

Cheers

For me i dont want the creator come back to the megaman franchise, look how fucked so hard with the game mighty 9.

Capcom needs to hire someone to surpass Keiji Inafune and put good work to any megaman game.

Technically Inafune is ONE of the creators, and 11 was made years after he was gone. This isn't even something new within the company, as both RE and DMC kept going even after their creators left Capcom for example.

Would love Capcom at least give us something about the cliffhangers from the series (X9, ZX3 and Dash 3 at least) instead of a new classic game. 11 is amazing, but its time to let the other series shine.

Easy enough, just hire the developer behind Gravity Circuit. Game does everything right when it comes to expanding on the MMX formula.

"Mega Man is mid"
It's been 21 fucking years and the Maverick Hunters are still stuck on that god damn elevator. And we have not one, not two, but FOUR cliffhangers in the entire franchise.
Watch it next time bud. We've been suffering from game starvation.

So, I guess the idea is that prior to Apollo Justice, Phoenix Wright abandons his profession and somehow he meets Trucy, who convinces him to go back somehow. The details are unspecified.

I should add that the original writer of the Ace Attorney games also departed some time ago.

I hope the Monster Hunter well dries up soon. Also, this is coming from the company that said "lol, be a shame if we put DRM in a video game you bought like 10 years ago!".

If they release a new DmC, I hope they don't cheap out on the PC version like they did with DmC 5 SE. Would also be nice to see proper remasters/ports of the first three PS2 games. The HD collection is so bad I still play those on my PS2 on a CRT.

Blah blah blah. They've been saying the whole "Mega Man is a valuable IP" thing for decades. It's pure PR bullshit.

If we get a new Mega Man game, it's going to be Mega Man 12, it will come out in 2028, and then nothing for 10 more years. Mark my fucking words.
