I know the PSP has microSD to memory stick adapters but does the same thing exist for the Vita? I want to use my own carts and I don't have a 3G-enabled Vita to mod in a PSVSD.

Look up SD2Vita.
Its not a memory card to SD adapter, its game card to SD adapter.
More like the opposite.

It is a microSD Card to game card slot adapter. (I.e., you use a microSD Card -for storage purposes- inside the game card slot).

There is possible to use slot2 to the psvita console. Slot2 its the port where you put your brand new vita sony propietary card storage with those size storage 8gb,32gb and 64 gb.

My idea its to use the slot2 you make a mini usb adapter a put the gold pins from a psvita sony cards. Its wild to me nobody or company to make a usb adapter and fit it to slot2 unless that port have some kind of nasty hacking problems that doesnt want anybody to mess it.Maybe thats why its easy to create cheap flimsy sd2vita cards..

The vita memory has some protection in it, so just rewiring a sd-card won't work. The need for such a device is so low with existing options I doubt it will ever be made.

Yeah I think I'll just buy a 64GB one for $60 :')

RichDevX has attempted this but in the end, people figured the gamecard slot or 3G slot would be a better and safer solution.

What kind of protection have official vita cards 64 gb? in this 2025 i witness that some games with secureboot +tmp enabled can be bypassed example the new battlefield game. Not different to a storage protection, sure i agreed the only good solution from now its sd2vita cards but i wish me can enable the slot2 for more external storage. For some old hardware like psvita console... i thought it was %100 hacked😰

PSTV+external USB-drive? (j/k)

Existing methods cater 99,9% of userbase and use cases - there is very little if any incentive for devs to cover marginal use cases unless it's a personal pet project.

Only one sprcific model of the PS Vita 1000 (PS Vita 3G afaik only released in Japan) it came with a third slot that went unused that by modding can be replaced with a functional Micro SD adaptor.

Cool as it is, not worth the trouble imo, but if you have the extra money, can order specific (might be rare and expensive) hardware online and have it shipped, and experienced enough in hard modding, then go for it.

I don't thihk the 3G models were exclusive to Japan, but every 3G Vita of mine has been Japan models just out of availability and convenience. 3G is the PCH-11xx series. Not a difficult mod, no soldering, but you'll need a T2 screwdriver for the Japan version (so I'm sure 3G ones in the US can be PSVSD'd).

I didn't know, I don't live in the US either, I'm from Asia so either way it'll need to be shipped.
