growing up it was never a thing . then you see people from America talk about it then its all over the show . i take it it comes from democrat vs republican? the few things i want to understand
1) with what's going on in the UK\Europe with the migrant crisis if any of them kill \ or do something bad to kids . and you get upset over it and say its wrong and more should of been done to vetting the migrant . the left call you far right ! why is that ?

The only people who claim that are extremists, typically on the right because they want a narrative which fits their viewpoint. Someone who is a migrant or an ethnic minority who commits a crime, particularly a act of sexual violence or VAWG, will be amplified by the far right with much less attention is the culprit is a cis white man.

In Northern Ireland recently, there were riots from "concerned citizens," because two romanian teenagers sexually assaulted a N.Irish teenage girl, there was cover up from the police, the romanian teens were arrested and were being processed in the justice system. During that time, a N.Irish woman was murdered by white N.Irish man and there was fuck all attention from these people.

A great example is Nigel Farage and his ilk who are waxing lyrical about migrants committing sex crimes and below is him happily hanging out with someone who lost a civil case of rape:

Ultimately, what I'm saying is there are those on the right, especially on the far right who are much quiet if abhorrent crimes are committed by cis white men. Whereas any normal person, whether they be left, centrist or moderate right, are disgusted by these acts and want those who commit these crimes brought to justice regardless of the ethnicity or immigration status of the perpetrator.

Tl;dr: Fuck people who commit acts of violence regardless of their ethnicity or immigration status

I do want to note, in the US, there is no "Left wing". Democrats and Republicans are both on the Right, with Democrats only being slightly left of the Republicans. People misuse a lot of these terms because, at this point, anything short of hunting the homeless for sport is consider "Far Left"

To add to this, for all the crying of Zohran Mamdani being a extremist, he's very much a standard fare left wing politician in European standards. He's more left than the standard social democrat politician but his policy agenda isn't mind blowing particularly on childcare and subsidised bus fares.

Not helpful and not true.
It is true. I would not exist otherwise: I'm a CEO/Business owner and founder who can clear two thousand U.S. dollars a week full time who was attacked by other business owners for insisting, of my own volition, on lowering my prices and even providing discounted/free services for impoverished members of the community for robotics, and charging the rest less than half what other companies were while ensuring they received the absolute best robotics training I could possibly offer them.

It is helpful also to employees that I paid as much as I received in net revenue (two thousand per week) when they proved themselves dependable, yet we started during Covid and found a way.

I am meticulous regarding funds and yet realize a business, as an owner, is a _service_, not a means for exploitation when run properly; you are there to serve clients, not extort them.

Plenty of people on both sides of politics despise me for this.

Now if you could excuse me, I'd like to finish throwing up this morning (side effect of training so much) before I go to the office in two hours to continue, and I have a meeting at two with a very kind service representative; the way you treat your janitors and car mechanics speaks volumes on what kind of person you are.

I think the problem with the right wing thinking is they want a government that doesn't govern, yet they still choose to participate in voting/running for their government.
The problem I found is most people describe socialism and then say they hate it.

Capitalism doesn’t help anyone but a very few they just eat up propaganda and regurgitate it with no thoughts

The truth is both sides have seen major abuses perpetrated in the world when talking about far left and far right

Now in the US I would argue the far left barely even exist as a real political entity - so you are comparing moderate left with far right

But take a place like Ireland for example where left and right are both close to center and both sides look much more reasonable
You know that wasn’t communism right or? Also to say both sides are reasonable when one wants to exterminate groups of people is… well frankly pathetic

It's not by accident (in my opinion), by demolishing the assumed range of politics into a strict binary, you make it almost impossible for other opinions under or near the same wing to exist.

Yes.... But as of late, the abuses have mostly been from the far right correct?

Also Stalin is a shaky situation, since he's not a communist. (If we go by marx's definition) He failed on stateless, classless, and moneyless. Some of the stuff ongoing looked a lot like capitalism, and many of the powers that were in power before, stayed in power.
Regardless, he was definitively a bad guy no matter how you cut it, regardless of where we want to chuck him. (we can chuck/assume he is on the left for the sake of simplicity.)

250.00 per 40 hr week per student; my competitors charged _this_ per every five _hours_ a month; they were very angry that I caused prices to go down so much when I entered the business scene:

(And take one look at robots in many places like this and ask why they either stick to the cookie cutter builds or have some horrible hodge podge "custom" robots compared to our drill bot pictures.)

I made plenty enough to do this during the school years for lower prices and more students; I was "advised" by a business manager to get "doofuses" to run each center for fifteen an hour "and when they get tired and burn out, replace 'em!"; I was disgusted by those words, so I just kept doing what I did; pay employees well, and give the customers their money's worth; that business manager won't even talk to me now; I set off the other business owners and he came to me saying it was "wrong" to "undercharge" since it forced others to lower client prices...good! If I can manage money that well, so can they!

Disclaimer: I know it can be easy to be skeptical of a business owner who gives free and discounted vouchers for low income families because he feels like it. Just as how it seems skeptical to many when a Tae-Kwon-Do Exclusive Practitioner has no problems punching and breaking a bag heavier than he is with a bleeding and injured wrist in a device "bare-knuckled" as usual, but please, take my word for it:

What is this supposed to prove? It certainly does not prove that you "risked your life" because of "socialism" and certainly doesnt add up with your past stories

Oh, sorry; I thought you were accusing me of being a republican.

The socialism part was the many death threats, etc. I recieved from the other side at work. Cannot provide emails since those are off-limits, but how about this:

?

(Was left alone to remove a metal shard wedged in an outlet related to a TikTok challenge: never saw a coworker and haughty person verbal about socialism support smile so widely in my life as she left me in there with the kids and never bothered to help as the power flickered; used a powerfully insulated extention cord and my centimeter-accurate hands were put to the test; she frowned and said nothing when I was able to get it out without being electrocuted. she left me in there, to die. Anyone else would have said, "I'll help you get the kids over into another room while you call the emergency team/I will call the emergency team and you keep the kids away", but that is not what I got. Bienvenidos a los estados unidos!

Is that a reddit post?
you think reddit remotely _likes_ me? I'd sooner get invited to the Call of Duty ingame chat fandom long enough for them to hate me for not being toxic (no offense to Call of Duty fans in general, though).

"Upon review, we found that you told zero people that they had no hope and were going to burn; this is a major ToS violation here at reddit; you must judge and condemn at least three people a day. we have also recieved complaints that you try to be positive and use snark in a positve context to give your critics a way out instead of every abelist and racist comment imaginable; between these two violations of our terms of required judgmental and name-calling services, we wish to not see you again. In fact, we would rather that you die." - some moderator on reddit, perhaps.

Extremism has never done anything good, no matter what side of politics it comes.
Extremism is the perfect storm for those in power to keep the people against the people distracted and fighting over petty shit while they get even more power.
In my opinion, you have to be retarded or mentally ill to fall into any form of extremism.

'extremism' is based on the overton window
people in america call wanting universal healthcare like every other first-world country extremism, but have allowed the president to build a concentration camp noted for its ability to be destroyed by natural disaster and its inmates subject to being devoured by local wildlife as part of an ongoing war on immigration

making the point that you have to mentally challenged to be an extremist reveals either a supreme lack of wisdom, intellectual curiosity or empathy in general
perhaps a bit of all three

I have always been geared towards centrism, It shouldn't lean too much one side or the other, there needs to be balance. Workers rights are a must but the government shouldn't be injecting money into dying businesses just so that they survive. The government shouldn't decided what I want to create either.

I also value cultural tradition and I have always been proud of my country's history. The fact that certain people are now telling me that I should be ashamed of the past and constantly apologize, is bullshit.

Politics these days have become very polarized and extreme lately, there's this "team" mentality: either you're with us, or against us, when things aren't so linear.

One issue that's been pretty big lately is immigration. In the past the general left was against it since it worsened local workers rights and benefits, now it defends it for "humanitarian" reasons. People defending closed borders in the EU are called fascists and racists, when it's a serious issue that needs to be controlled. It's been an issue since the early 2010s, but only now are people acting on it.

Well, if you sympathize with the side fighting against minorities, then that means you sympathize with being against minorities, meaning you are, actually, "against us". There's not really any way around this. Read about the paradox of tolerance.

This idea that politics being on extreme ends of the spectrum is a new thing is silly. It's always been that way. The only reason people weren't at each other's throats 20 years ago is that back then, we didn't have social media. Everyone lived in their own little sub-communities, oblivious to the horrors of society, and unable to connect with the people who were crying out for change. Now that everyone is talking to everyone else at once, they're a lot more aware and a lot more involved. Also, we weren't living in some of the worst economic and environmental conditions in American history. Don't be surprised when the shittier the world gets, the angrier the people get. Don't be surprised when tolerance and moderation doesn't work and people start calling for more extreme solutions.

Also, people are waking up to the fact that nice does not equal good, and most people would prefer you be a good person rather than a nice person.

This is dismissive and dishonest. It goes beyond humanitarianism. It's economics too. Illegals do shittier jobs for shittier pay that no privileged white people want to do, because the alternatives are either death, deportation, or both.

Yes, the left did used to be on the side of "DEY TOOK OUR JERBS" before realizing that the competitive job market was much more systemic than that. They did used to think immigrants were the cause of the working class being under shittier conditions, before the rich companies employing them got increasingly richer, driving out competition, while simultaneously not passing those riches onto the workforce and the lower class. They did used to be against immigrants taking housing and healthcare, before they realized that healthcare should've been free to begin with, and that we could stand to have more afforable public housing for everybody, The left also used to think that drugs were a crime problem instead of a mental health problem, and that citizens recycling would make a difference towards global warming compared to what big oil and energy companies were doing.

Times change. Especially when new information and studies are coming to light all the time.

Who is genuinely doing that
I only saw those two comments for context, but to be fair, critics love hating people instead of actions, and I will never understand why.

Someone did apologize for behavior to me for many days, which was quite cruel, and we immediately moved on. I'm quick to fully forgive. I'm never angry at people, only actions.

Left wing and right wing are two different ways of thinking about how society should work.

The left wing believes in helping people and making things fair for everyone. They think the government should make sure people have healthcare, good schools, and equal rights no matter who they are. They want to protect the environment and make sure workers are treated well.

The right wing believes more in keeping things the way they are or going back to how things used to be. They often think people should take care of themselves without too much government help. Some right-wing ideas support bad things like taking land from other countries (colonialism) or forcing people to work as slaves. Today, some right-wing ideas still are unfair by making life harder for poor people, immigrants, or minorities.

The problem with some right-wing thinking is that it sometimes doesn't care enough about how others feel. While left-wing ideas try to help everyone, some right-wing ideas focus more on keeping power and tradition, even if it hurts people. As in keep the power structure the same, with rich white people on top.

That's why many people think left-wing ideas are better for progressing society.
Insanely one sided take. Left wing also believes in taking land from other people (or countries, in the case of the USSR and China). Left wing ideas are also very much unfair to a lot of people.
