Does Youtube on Wii U still work in 2025?

Edit/TLDR:
Yes, it still works!!
For some reason, GiveMiiYoutube plugin was disabled on Wii U plugin System Config, so I had to press X to manage them
I didn't think this could ever be the issue because I don't remember having used the manage plugins options *at all*
So yeah! If someone reading this, also has the correct red app + the GiveMiiYoutube plugin on the right place... try pressing X to see if it was disabled on the Plugins Menu! (Acess it through: Down on D-Pad + R + Minus)

I can't speak for the actual app, but you can still use the youtube website from the internet browser.

the results I find are pretty ambiguous, some people saying it doesnt work anymore, others saying it does, all the information I have is that I'm suposed to use GiveMiiYoutube with *some* youtube app version that is NOT from Nusspli... that's all I know

Yes, it very much so does work as long as you get the correct version and the Give Mii Youtube. I use my wii u every day to be able to listen on the tv and glance at the game pad while working cus im blind lol. I was having issues with it timing out more frequently this morning

Make sure that you have Give Mii Youtube in with the rest of the Aroma Plugins.

I think I got my Youtube download from a Youtube video, but didn't follow that tutorial

The latest youtube app I've tried was the one on this video, because it seems new (2025) and is the red version:

Like, it's on the folder, with all my other plugins, that appear there D: ... like the screenshot one, Pretendo/Inkay, Gamepad Standby... they all appear there and they work very well! It definitely should show in the Wii U plugin System Config. Mine shows up. I only have a few Plugins however. Our only differences in plugins are Ftpiiu, c2w patcher, gamepad auto standby, and screenshot plugin. all of which you have and I do not.

If you haven't already, check 'manage plugins' in the bottom corner and make sure you just dont have the plugin disabled. It wont show it in the list if you have it disabled.

If that doesnt work, also maybe try redownloading Give Mii Youtube.

I ALWAYS use wii u youtube lol, great when you have a crappy cpu that drops frames if you play games with a video on your second monitor.
