Wii U Black Screen Brick

When I first got my Wii U back in 2014 I left it to do a software update when unexpectedly the power went out leaving my console bricked
When it's plugged in the power light goes red then when pressed it goes blue but nothing happens, no hdmi output, doesn't connect to gamepad, nothing. over the years I bought a second hand Wii U and installed cfw and it runs fine, my question is, is there anyway for me to unbrick the console, I've accepted that I'm going to have to hard mod my console but I'm not sure exactly what steps to take, I have a Pico and have tried the usb exploit running UDPIH but still nothing works, any advice would be appreciated

You can use Paid the Beak to Install ISFShax. From there we can then unbrick it by reinstalling the system.

Warning

Although this is in use by many users and has proven itself as safe and reliable, you still use this at your own risk. Messing with the isfs superblocks is dangerous and can brick your Wii U. The superblock linked here was tested and confirmed working. Installing an broken superblock will brick your Wii U.

@SDIO Is it possible to reinstall the mlc to the system memory? I can't seem to get wafel to work, do I need to use a fat 16 sd card ?

@SDIO I should also add when I installed ISFXhax it said my boot1 version isn't supported so I used a file to bypass the check which you supplied in another thread, my version was v8296, I have the slc and mlc titles in my wafel folder or my sd card but when I try to run patch sd and boot ios slc the led light stays purple, I cleared mlc and scfm,img (not too sure if deleting scfm.img was successful the first time I ran it but when I run it now it says it failed and gives an error code -1)

@SDIO Yes, I have all the titles setup in the wafel_install file aswell whenever I execute Patch (sd) and boot IOS (slc) it triggers and gets all the way to jumping to ios... go go go but the LED stays purple and it doesnt seem to be doing anything, I've even left it overnight but no help, I have mlc and slc titles in my install directory, Im starting to wonder if its a slc problem and might require defuse

Use JNUSTOOL to download version 10 of the latest operating system. You need to include the Wii U common key in the configuration file located in your opt.bin.
You can extract your key using the program WiiUCommonKeyExtractor.
The code for system version 10 is:
java -jar JNUSTOOL.jar 000500101000400a

Rename the fw.img file to ios_orig.img and save it on the SD card.
With the MLC and SLC titles in the wafel_install folder, boot into minute: Patch (sd) and boot smdc:/ios_orig.img, which is the option to start the installation. Once the installation is complete, you can choose Patch (sd) and boot IOS (slc) to go back to the normal option. This way, you would have the new operating system installed.

But I also followed these steps and it still doesn’t work for me. I tried different wafel_install.ipx files. Some of them stay stuck with a solid purple light, while others blink orange, or simply blink blue, but even then nothing gets installed according to the Wafel.txt logs.
They probably need to adapt wafel_setup_mlc.ipx for very old system versions. For now, we just have to wait, although things are progressing very quickly

I hope you end up getting that console of yours fixed
