Hello folks, hope all is well.

I truly love this thread and certainly believe others do as well. When @Tetsuo Shima had this project idea, some of us were all onboard and has turned out phenomenal.

When Tetsuo turned the reigns over to me, i was reluctant to make too many changes. After getting more aquaited with computer system setups, i quickly dismissed some quality Hexaeco emulators from the main pack.

V8-12 were split into separate downloads, according to my opinion, of what emulators/cores were best served. It was a mistake on my end since it created confusion for end users and much more work on my end.

Now, a few years later, i am going to attempt the same procedure, only wiser.

I have not cruched the numbers but believe at least 80 plugins can be removed without a dent. This will be removing many good plugins and others that serve the purpose but are generally not used.

These removals will help speed things up and fix crashing. The Complete pack will still be available but the WFL Plugins Pack Lite will be recommended.

The DL size was only reduced by 20mb, but 60 total plugins were removed which should make user experience much more stable.

Edit: Fix is up for Atari 5200/XEGS...paths were not correct.

Forgot to mention that Intellivision and Atari XL/5200/XEGS all use different rom paths from the Complete distribution. If you drop the Complete plugins pack over the Lite plugins pack, you will have issues.

If you are not satisfied with the Lite pack, simply delete the plugins folder from dev:/wiiflow/ then replace with Complete plugins folder.

With the release of RA 1.21.0 and the revelation how to properly set up bezels for RA, both the Complete and Lite plugin packs have been updated. I have made some bezels and included them in both distributions with setup instructions located at... dev:/wiiflow/plugins/Retroarch-Wii/overlays.

I have also attached the setup along with a few bezel examples at the end of the post.

The Complete pack has only updated RA cores along with new bezels, the Lite pack has a few changes... RA FDS Nestopia replaced FDS WiiMednafen, RA Virtual Boy has been included, Hexaeco PCE SGFX, CD, and PC Engine plugins have been replaced with normal RetroArch plugins..

This should be the last update for some time, hopefully there are no issues.

Theme Hospital works, but you also have to make the "Theme Hospital" folder and add "Theme Hospital.game" to the folder.

I just tested my Hypothetical solution to Ultima VII above, and you're right it also doesn't work for me. I will tell you what DID work though:

so, keeping those game files named the same, go into DOS.ini and change the entries for the Ultima VII to match their game name, e.g. "Ultima VII part 1 - The Black Gate=156009|" would become "blackgate=156009|" and "Ultima VII part 2 - Serpent Isle=156010|" becomes "serpentisle=156010|". Similarly, go into DOS.xml, find the entries for the ultima VII, and change the <game name> field to be named blackgate and serpentisle. DO NOT change the title. Now the database connects.

I have not played/tested TH for quite some time but believe you have made an error editing the .ini file.

I checked the last 4 releases... (2023, 2024, Complete, Lite) and all TH .ini look like this...I have attached the correct .ini.

This should solve your issue.

OMG! Yes, I completely didn't notice that romdir= was wrong. I must have accidently edited it when I first started configuring WiiFlow Lite. Good spot!

I think what threw me off was I assumed all game files had to be located in the plugins folder (my Abuse plugins folder contained a .game file and it was showing up in wiiflow), so I was treating it as a plugin issue. I've since learned that the .game file can also be located in the game folder.

That said, there was still no GAME FILE located in sd:/Theme Hospital.

So, I created my own by copying one from another game folder and then renaming it (Theme Hospital.game).

This worked a charm and I can now see it with boxcover (Theme Hospital.game.png) in the wiiflow menu!

Thanks again, and I hope this helps any other noobs out there who have missing .game files for their DOS games.

Some good news regarding Sega cores/emulators. Standalone Genesis Plus GX has been updated by ekeeke and CD issues have been fixed in my testing, now we can enjoy being completely up to date with latest GX release.

Also latest RA libretro GX core has been recompiled by our good friend @SaulFabre with CHD support and other quality improvements.

Saul has also given us an updated 32X Pico core, .ogg support still not working but working well otherwise so it has been included.

Nintendont has been updated to latest April 30, 2025 release as well.

With that, the updated Lite plugins pack is now up!!! As mentioned a few weeks ago, the Complete plugins pack has now been retired. Please post if you have any issues.

Hi, it seems to be a bug with WiiStation in Wiiflow (I've been usening old plugins before and I had not this bug then)

I have 1750 PSX games on my HDD but Wiiflow only showing around 1640 games (it lookslike wiiflow have "hidden" disc 2 games because it will only show Final Fantasy VII Disc 1 for example and not the rest of the discs) So by this, Wiiflow have hidded Resident Evil 2 Disc 2 Claire aswell.
How do I make Wiiflow to show all my discs like before?

i'm not sure what to change. maybe 2-9 to 3-9? hopefully someone knows better than me.

Just enable sd_write_log=true and it will log the files skipped due to this pattern.

Hi, it seems to be a bug with WiiStation in Wiiflow (I've been usening old plugins before and I had not this bug then)

I have 1750 PSX games on my HDD but Wiiflow only showing around 1640 games (it lookslike wiiflow have "hidden" disc 2 games because it will only show Final Fantasy VII Disc 1 for example and not the rest of the discs) So by this, Wiiflow have hidded Resident Evil 2 Disc 2 Claire aswell.
How do I make Wiiflow to show all my discs like before?

WiiFlow does display only the first media of multi-media games.

Why would you like to see those? Swapping disks is a function of the PSX emulator, isn't it?
