Hi!
I'm trying to download a split.nsp file with gold leaf (I used NSPsplitty) but when i try to download the file on my switch it says it's empty, literally says 0 bytes. i have used this mathod to install games before and they all worked jut fine, but this one doesn't. i double checked the content of the SD card on my computer and it the split files (00 01 02...) are all there but on the switch it says it's empty tinfoil also thinks it's empty.

for context: It's tloz totk i downloaded it from a different website than usual because my usual one gave me "corrupted data error" that even sig-patches update didn't fix, i can't use DBI (cause for some reason it doesn't show up on my switch, but that's ok gold leaf works fine for me), and one person with the same problem as me on totk said we simply had to download totk from somewhere else and sent me the link to the website that worked for her and that's the file that says empty.

is there a problem with the file? (if so does someone know where i could download it?)

solved: just got the file from another site again

I recently installed a mod chip on a Switch OLED. The console is on 20.1.1 firmware, and Atomasphere doesn't yet support 20.1.1. I've made an EmuNAND and whenever I try to boot into the emuMMC, I get an error saying I've got the wrong ini cfg or missing/corrupt files. I believe this is because 20.1.1 is not yet supported. Is there a way to downgrade my emummc without using daybreak inside of Atomasphere?

Customer dropped off a switch on fw 13, says it was never turned off in all of three years. I had to power it off to load hekate. It doesn't reboot, at all. I tried power + volume + and -. Nothing.

According to them, the modder said if the console was turned off, it will never be modded again or something. What do the previous modder do and how can I fix this? I have never seen this.

Edit: Whoever worked on this thing used an rcm jig, threw atmosphere on it, didn't even bother with creating an emummc or hekate. Never turned it off in three years, but I had to. They insisted they "were in a hurry/had to go" but would be back next week for me to chip it after asking what I charge. Now their console does nothing. Great. Fscking people from craigslist..

Hello! Recently bought a chipped switch oled from a local guy, he said he flashes them himself. Everything works except this - when I dump keys using RCM Lockpick it gives me this error:
SSL keypair has invalid GMac.
Unable to derive SSL key.
Invalid eticket keypair.
Unable to derive ETicket key.
The games and homebrew still work but DBI gives me an error saying the prod keys are incomplete and functionality will be limited. Did someone ever encounter something like this? How can I fix it? Google gave me absolutely nothing about it. Tried a different microsd and tried flashing 19.0.0 firmware - did not help.
RCM is the latest 1.9.15, Atmosphere 1.9.1, chinese region switch.

Hello, I recently dipped my toes in the water of Switch hacking because I learned about how many changes were made to Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. I grabbed the "deburger and uncensor" mod from the forums here, and I used a cheat to unlock all of the costumes, saved the game, closed it out, and restarted the Switch....and none the costumes remained unlocked. Am I just completely off the mark on how this works, like you can't unlock something with a cheat and then just have it unlocked with the cheat turned off even after you saved your game with the item active?

And is it possible to save modified data (the decensor and retranslation mods) at all, or do the mods have to be present on the system to work?

My main interest is in being able to inject all of these mods/cheats into the game, save it, and ultimately transfer the save file to the Switch 2, so that I can enjoy it there with all of the mod/cheat benefits I used. I was told by someone on Reddit this was possible, but so far my experience just on the Standard Swiitch has not been promising.

So, am I just doing something wrong or am I completely ignorant to have ever assumed this was possible?

I was here last year trying to mod both my Switches, but never got past the injecting phase. I completely forgot how to even start. Has it gotten easier?
J

After using. bcml And installing the mod the game does not work anymore. I get an error message. Does anyone know how to fix that?
It sounds like it could be a defunct mod. Go into the /atmosphere/contents folder and look for the title ID or string of numbers that matches the game you are modding then delete that folder.
why does atmosphere boot into emu after a crash? Autoboot in hekate is set to 0.

Some more details would be useful like the error code, your setup, or even a picture.
Are you able to use tools like cdnsp to download .nsp updates. I have an old backup of ff7 thats on 1.0.1 and im trying to track down update nsps to get me to 1.0.2+ using yandex. Not ideal.
No, CDNSP was shut down ages ago. Piracy has existed before CDNSP and continues to exist without it. Finding warez is hard but not impossible.

No because the process hasn't changed in the last 5 years. If you cannot follow a written guide then Switch hacking is not for you.

So, I had a recent scare with my Pokemon save files. I bought a Switch 2 and transferred my saves over. It looks like it nuked my Pokemon Sword save.

The good news? I have the save on my emuNAND still.

I wanted to check if something was possible, and if so, the risk assessment of doing it.

I'd like to boot into OFW with homebrew (and Checkpoint) on my modded Switch and re-inject my lost save, so that it goes to the cloud and can be used on my Switch 2. Does that work that way? (I know of the non-zero ban risk)

Seem to be a thing going on with transferring pokemon save.

What program would I have to use to edit save file data that was dumped by JKSV? I dumped my Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, but most of the files don't have extensions.

Okay, I'm trying to do an atmosphere update. I hate doing this process because without fail, I always miss something.

I just downloaded the latest atmosphere files and put them on my Switch. I'm able to boot into CFW, but all my software backups now say" unable to start software.

What is it I'm inevitably missing?

Going back to a question earlier in the thread.
So, it appears that my OFW is on the latest (20.1.1), it looks like Atmosphere doesn't support that yet (pkg1 hash failure or however).

So my goal is to launch into OFW (if at all possible, either now or later when atmosphere supports it), re-inject my Pokemon Sword save, and then do a local save file transfer between it and the Switch 2.

How realistic is that?

What a great comment! I needed this. I'm going to give it another go.

Switch warez? I had no idea it was hard to find.
For some older, more obscure titles, yeah. Usually, not at all. Few times i had to ask one of the admins/maintainers of such websites to check for a certain release for me and, thankfully, in more cases that not they've managed to find what I was looking for.

EDIT: I can't remember which one I had trouble finding the files for but maybe it was some specific updates for the 60 Seconds! Reatomized and maybe a Little Briar Rose (the point -and-click adventure game made by the same studio that made Children of Silentown, really good not-so-horror point-and-click adventure game, totally recommended). Maybe it was Darkestville Castle as well, but yeah, can't really remember. I know that it took me a few days to find it. But, really, all of these titles are less popular on the Switch compared to the other platforms.
