IT’T TIME TO MAKE HISTORY YEAAAAAAAH

Words cannot describe how happy I was to hear my favorite battle theme played in the trailer

Bad timing for that Invincible VS game, looks a lot slower/clunkier than Marvel Tokon. Tony Hawk 3+4 the only other game I was already looking forward to from this showcase that's coming relatively soon.
Tbf, we don't even know how well 4vs4 will workout in practice.

Lots of ways to implement it smoothly, assist button + directions or assist button + LMH. It's one shared health bar and you can play just as a single character with multiple assists if you want. ArcSys is the only dev that's guaranteed to know what they're doing with a fighting game, aside from Capcom.

Game Freak is making an Xbox game. Samurai and mechs. Beast of Reincarnation coming next year. Action game.
Guess we now know what the experienced people inside GF have been working on instead of Pokemon.

Persona 4 Reload - yep, knew it. Knew it was going to be an R for the third time in a row (P5R, P3R, P4R).
Seriously unoriginal now.

And rewatching the teaser, I wish they would have kept the same (or very similar, at least) stylised art style and static cameras. Inaba worked just fine with them; camera control really wasn't needed.

""Xbox Play Anywhere is a focus for Microsoft. Progression, compatibility, and unification of Xbox and Windows.""

Hmm no thanks. The reason i switch to consoles was to not to deal with the crappy Windows experience.

And with Windows 11 i finally ditched Windows in favor of a Linux distro (Mint btw) for my old PC.

I'm rooting for SteamOS as the main OS for PC gaming, so i can no switch back to playing on a PC, since the price of the current consoles is identical to a mid range PC.

While I do wish Altus can do a remake for the first 2 persona games, I'm still excited for Persona 4 Revival nonetheless.

Other than that, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 and Super Meat Boy 3D also excited me.

They tend to favor the other 3 due to the sheer popularity unfortunately which is a shame because persona 2 is my favorite out of them all the OST is pure heaven

>the hyped to death Xbox Handheld is a fucking ROG Ally with Xbox branding slapped on.

I guess actually making a handheld version of the Series S or even the Xbox One X to give the Switch and Switch 2 actual competition was just too expensive for one of the richest companies in the western world. But I guess this is what happens when you go all in the casuals, give up your exclusives, and diluting the brand so hard that it might as well has been dropped into the deepest dephs of obscurity, and subsequently focus on MAU when doing so ends up proving to be an unsurprising failure, just slap your brand ontop of another brand and hope someone buys it and contributes to the MAU count.
Because a locked down console handheld with less games and functionality would have been such a much better idea than a PC handheld that everyone's been doing since the deck's release. Sure bro.

Microsoft was smart to just partner with another company for this. It's not that serious to make a whole ass new handheld when maintaining a console and handheld at the same time has proven to be unsustainable in the current gaming market

Microsoft in particular has had several chances to bounce thier console brand's perception in the public eye. from the Xbox One reveal salvaging the attempt to chase the casual crowd with the 360's Kinect, to almost anything they could have done to better manage the Xbox One (including allowing the use of a less restricted Dev Mode way sooner and for free and not forcing online only) to salvage the negative perception of it from the reveal, to the One X where they could have billed it as the next console gen to undercut the competition, to now where they could actually advertise the Xbox brand instead of having an identity crisis and calling anythng that can run something recent an Xbox and calling it an Ad.

You're telling me that Microsoft, the technology company that has a market cap in the Trillions with a CAPITAL T just couldn't ask AMD and the companies they work with to make Series S and X's components to make a version of it that that fits in a handheld frame with a good enough battery and hire a bunch of people in the software business to make an update or new version of the OS they use for the Series X/S and Xbox One that accounts for the handheld form-factor and runs on both the consoles and the handheld with an a much less restrictive Dev Mode and ability to run a second Operating System alongside it instead of buying another game studio to do fuck and all with?

Really didn't expect to see Grounded 2, was thrilled when I first heard the news, but for some reason feel nothing when watching the trailer.

Whilst it's clearly aspects they've held back or were intending to add to the original game, now sold as a whole new game, it does seem to have a lot of what the community have been clambering for, so unsure why I feel unimpressed.

I hope they actually listen to users now, rather then going full Bethesda, the first Grounded was at one point my favourite game

The real reason is likely how poor Windows is, now that Microsoft are moving away from Xbox (consoles, not brand)

I'm sure they're still working with a partner/S on an actual native Microsoft console/S, but this is a stop gap. Forging partnerships with hardware manufacturers and trying to stem an progress made by Valve (and loss of users due to the bad decisions they made over the past few years)

I would genuinely like to see remakes of the first two/three games. (Wasn't Persona 2 split up into two parts? I remember there were PSP remakes, but I think the second part of Persona 2 never made it out of Japan.) The problem is that the PS1 games were designed a bit differently than the PS2 entries. So, it'd take more development time to rework the games to fit with the later entries.

If they don't remake the earlier games, we'll just keep getting remakes of P3 and P4 every few gens.

I think it's still too early to remake P5, since the spin-off's were just recently finished off with Strikers, Tactica, Q2, etc.
