Are you sure its just the motherboard? If so they are easy to find on ebay.
But there might be damage to other component, and the controller pads on both side are also on separate PCBs.
I don't think you will be able to fix unfortunately, best case you have a donor Vita.

NecroHey, I'd appreciate an opinion on this because I'm OCD about console condition. I got a pretty much mint PS Vita and used the bathroom steam trick to put the screen protector on without thinking that the console has vents. System seems fine, but I don't know how it's supposed to run since I've never had a Vita before. Do you think 5-7 minutes in a steamy bathroom is a cause for concern? Thanks!
Thanks for this! I live in Florida fyi so it's already pretty humid. I just retroactively had a mini mental breakdown lol about bringing it into a room full of steam. Just wasn't thinking and it feels delicate so idk. I was just wonderingNecro
It'll be fine. Unless it's like a regular thing, then the humidity might get to it a little, but I doubt there would be any lasting impact.
Worth noting that I live in Missouri which has a mild tropical climate, your results will differ based on climate and quality of home A/C
