# ARCHIVED: NINTENDO NO LONGER DOES REMOTE DATA TRANSFERS OUTSIDE OF THE SWITCH:
Ok so this is something I discovered today. I don't know why I keep discovering these weird things with the Wii. Not as useful as my boot2 telling method from the outside of a Wii however.
NOTE: ALL SHOP ACCOUNT DATA ON THE TARGET CONSOLE WILL BE WIPED UNLESS YOU FOLLOW AS SAID, AND EVEN THEN YOU FOLLOW THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
BACKUP THE LIST OF SHOP GAMES ON YOUR TARGET CONSOLE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS,
AND IDEALLY HAVE A NAND BACKUP OF BOTH CONSOLES USING BOOTMII. THIS REQUIRES HOMEBREW BUT MAKES THIS EASIER INCASE SOMETHING ON NINTENDO'S END GOES WRONG.
You will need these things:
Call Nintendo on the phone, then you want to ask them to do a data transfer between Wii to Wii. Once you do that, and provide your email, they will send you a link to enter your information on of the Wii. Enter both console serial numbers, ideally you want to say the console is not working if it isn't but if it is working put that.
After that, you'll wait a few hours for them to contact you back with a reference number. Call the number they send in the email, then enter the reference number. Once there, you talk to them about the transfer. They will want 2 pieces of evidence as I said earlier. Since this guide assumes you got the source Wii used for the games to transfer to your Wii, you'd only have the purchase history. If you have the second proof (card digits, wii points card, or club nintendo username), you can give that. But if you don't, sometimes they'll still let you through (they did for me), but if they don't, keep calling agents (repeating the process and one will let you through, this worked for me)
They will now transfer the data if nothing goes wrong.
Now to get the games back on the target console:
Call them back on the same number from the email and use the same reference number, this time explain you lost the games, and when they ask, list the games you lost to get them back. Again you only have one proof (the purchase history), so hopefully they be nice and let you in with only one proof.
If it all goes right, you'll have your shop games added to your account back that we're on the target console.
And also funny error I found while figuring this method out for the lulz

You will need these things:
- 2 Wii's, one with the Wii Shop games already purchased before the shop shutdown, and the Wii you want to get those Wii Shop games on. (With the serial numbers to both)
- The purchase history from the source wii
- Ideally, one of these things from the source wii, they will not accept any other form of proof as Nintendo wants 2 pieces of evidence of ownership. They accept: Last 4 digits of a card used on the Wii Shop, a Wii Points card number, or Club Nintendo username. Unfortunately the Wii Shop channel's receipts cannot be viewed anymore, as they do not work anymore.

) When connecting to the Wii shop channel post O-Neggy, would it be the Wii saying “Hey I have the keys to these games, let me redownload” or would it be Nintendo sided where “Your keys are invalid and there is no shop data.”
