Does it also happen without the minute autoboot?

I can try that. The issue is bit hard to replicate in the short term, so I'll have to let my console sit overnight and try booting without the .ini

No dice. The console doesn't even boot into Minute without a reboot.

Interestingly, when it does boot into the minute main menu, the disk dive doesn't "initialize" or whatever the process causes the two clicks. That wasn't a detail I spotted when I was installing that menu.

I am more in the camp that is may be a Minute issue now, though any input here would be appreciated before I make a post over there.

I apologize in advance, but I downloaded the files on wiiuhacksguide website put them on my SDCard and got now payload loader installer and Aroma Updater on my Wii U menu. I have no Aroma icon itself. Is there a way for me to have it on my Wii U menu? Do I need like a boot.dol and meta.xml files? If so where would I be able to download them because I couldn't find them on the Aroma website.

Another question? Is there like a way for me to use TCPGecko or J Gecko U with Aroma? I'm willing to pay a bit if needed (I am that desparate (basically nostalgia).)

What if you uninstall everything (check if it boots ok) and start from scratch?

What do you mean no Aroma icon?
Aroma is the CFW environment running in background. You won't see it!
If you have Aroma updater and Payload loader installer on your WiiU Menu, congtatulations! You're running Aroma!

Maybe someone else can help you with JGecko U stuff

That is a good idea, but also a last resort. I don't remember what the bricking chance is, but that is always a concern. I have backups, but I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it. It was also kind of a pain to get games installed into the other partition of the SD card (by my choice), so that's also something I don't want to do again.

Hey, just wanted to post about something that came up. Was helping a friend and updated the Aroma build on my Wii U for the first time in how long. It seemed to come with the region-free plugin, but I found out that having this plugin active and using some sort of vWii forwarder (such as the Wiiflow one) causes the Wii U menu to endlessly load on a black screen. Not sure who needs to adjust what, but just letting people know that if your Wiiflow or other vWii forwarder doesn't load and just hangs, just disable this plugin.

Is it possible to boot into vWii Homebrew Channel without a gamepad?

I use WiiMC to watch media and love that Aroma can boot straight into vWii Homebrew Channel in full widescreen.
However, for some reason it will only boot into 'TV & Gamepad' mode.
Gamepad controller is not supported on WiiMC (at least the version I have), and I live in a studio, so the only way I can turn off the gamepad, but leave the Wii on, is by putting the gamepad in my microwave.

For some reason, when I boot into vWii Homebrew Channel, and my gamepad is in the microwave (not connected), it never loads. Not frozen, but no Vwii Homebrew Channel.
Is there a setting for this? Can I change the default vWii Homebrew Channel to 'TV only' mode?

I'm really scared I'll end up accidentally microwaving my gamepad at some point if I don't find a solution.

can you play us region games on japanese console with aroma installed without changing game files?

Hi. Can I request a gamepad softmod to turn off the battery completely when gamepad is not in use?

The Gamepad had a very bad flaw of being always active even when not in use. Battery discharges rapidly. It can easily go to zero after some days even if you don't use it.

Thanks.

You need to cut the battery wire and add a switch. There are several threads with pictures to find in this forum.

Not so at all. I recommend Padcon as my option of choice, but there are other options you could find. Padcon makes it simple - to turn off the GamePad, hold the shoulder buttons and press -. To turn off the screen, hold them and press +.

There's also a Stroopwafel plugin if you're using ISFShax that prevents the Wii U from auto-initing the GamePad when you turn it on. Might be a regular Aroma option for that too.

But I always prefer to boot the Wii Menu via the Wii U Menu to make full use of evWii, so I wouldn't know any "straight to Wii Menu" solutions. But the off button works in that case anyway, so...

But if you're asking for something that stops the Wii U and GamePad talking when they're both off... that doesn't exist yet. Sorry. You'll need to wait for something or put it on a dock.

The software cannot really switch off the GamePad. Nintendo should have provided for this in the circuit. Instead, an alway-on mode is what Nintendo have realized. Padcon is good while playing on TV.

I'm having an issue (I supose with Aroma) and for the first time only with one game.
I have installed a backup of Mass Effect 3 (EU Version) manually through WUP Installer (is not in nintendo Servers).
The game works perfectly but once I quit the game with Home Menu, It return to the menu Health and Safety instead of Wii U Menu, and it stucks in a loop where everytime I close the H&S menu, it returns to it, and I must reset the console to really exit.

Has someone experienced anything similar?

Simple splution @nothor make sure you follow https://wiiu.hacks.guide only instead of some outdated (video?) guide giving you horribly outdated Aroma files.
I installed Aroma on a clean system, following the official wiiu.hacks.guide and updated it to the last version through Aroma Updater.
I'm reporting it, because looks really strange and I never had any issue with other wup installations (neither from nusspli nor wup installer)
The only thing different with this game is the size of the game (>19GB) and that is not available in the official Nintendo Servers (must be installed manually)
If nobody had issues with this game, then forget it.

I just turn on my wii u & it showed an error code
Disk drive error 160-1400

Any way aroma bypass this error code since i dont use disk drive anymore?

Yes you can load it through the latest fw img loader.
You can then navigate with the power button and select with the eject button. In minute you find it in the backup and restore menu and there set the SATA SEEPROM type to none
