Does it matter what region you use with the patches available? Like if I used the JPN version of Dementium II, would that still work somehow? Or are there title id's listed somewhere?
Sort of, I am not sure. I actually develop and test my mods on Desmume, it has pretty nice scripting capabilities with Lua. The problem is that I don't think there is a way to read an input from an analog stick of an actual gamepad, at least I couldn't do it under Wine. I ended up using my mouse to emulate the CPad. Don't know anything about other emulators.
So if it's possible to write your own scripts and somehow work with a gamepad, then it probably would be possible to play with my mods on those emulators. Not without editing of course (huge chunk of these mods deal with 3ds specific stuff), but it would be the simplest part
I would expect not, as your DS emulator isn't emulating the 3DS hardware!
There is a special build of DeSmuME that gives you analog movement in Mario 64 using a fictional GBA-slot analog stick dongle.
I am not aware of analog mods for any other DS games in emulators. Maybe ask the creator of the SM64 DeSmuME mod for details of how they got the game to accept GBA-slot signals as touchscreen input? It might be possible to implement it in other games that use the touchscreen for analog movement.
Never mind, I figured it out. I just used r4cceQuestion:
I've noticed after installing the usrcheat.dat file for the circle pad, I noticed that none of my other games in Twilightmenu have their cheats. And the only ones with cheats are those with the circle pad cheat.
Is there any way to keep both the circle pad and regular cheats for all games or am I only stuck with the circle pad cheats?
Wait sorry I'm really late on this but could you explain? I tried using one of the new .dat files and the patches still wont show in the menu. Then I used r4cee to get the cpad patch back in the cheats menu. When enabled Spirit tracks still only uses 8 directions.Turns out the solution was right under my nose. It appears that this updated folder had a functional Spirit Tracks C-Stick cheat than the one provided first provided by shoco which worked for me. I have nothing else to say but that I am grateful for you tech savy guys helping us out to play these classics again.
I updated this with support for popoular translations and hacks, also reimplemented support for mario 64 europe.Update usrcheat with last patch
Could You make a usrcheat.dat with all widescreen patches and circle pad patches please?I updated this with support for popoular translations and hacks, also reimplemented support for mario 64 europe.
