Technically weren't Nazis any more by that point, but yeah I would've been fine executing them on the spot instead of recruiting them too. We would've got there eventually regardless, and several of the people who they tortured/killed could've helped get us there as well.

Then again, plenty of Nazi industrialists got off easy too and got to keep their ill gotten gains, their heirs making up most of Germany's industrial elite to this day. So who's keeping track.

Just found out ICE is in my town. Anyone know how far someone can fuck with them? I would like their jobs to be as difficult as possible, and I would also love to hurl insults at them. Going to do some research and report back with findings. Call every ICE worker you see a piece of shit.

While I don't know what you can do while making sure your are safe in the process, if you know of anyone that might be affected by this, I suggest letting them know of what they can do.

This is the wildest attempt at a 'gotcha' moment I think I've ever seen.

Anyway...yeah, he's back. It is what it is now. The thing with Trump is that I think everybody kind of understands what he is, and they set their expectations accordingly. Other world leaders know he's going to act bombastically, drive hard bargains, and generally act in ways that range from embarrassing to, let's say, 'clumsily menacing'.

I think the stuff that's really driven the media wild like the shit about claiming Greenland is going to blow over and be forgotten. Everything else can be undone by whoever comes next, assuming it isn't just somebody who wants to follow in his footsteps.

As for the people directly affected by the stuff he's already signing, I'm sorry. I hope these next four years go quickly for you.

For me this is the only social media I have so I have no where else to bitch But yeah I'm not contributing very well, just yelling into the aether which are probably what the majority of us are doing.

If it makes you feel better (it wouldn't). This is doomscrolling, but with the keyboard on. You'd be better off drifting into a new special interest on YouTube or figuring out the Fediverse or being in any other part of the forum. Take care of yourself. And now that I said it, I'll hold myself to the same standard.

I used to be in a habit of arguing for bystanders, and it has maybe changed the mind of 3 people total in 5 years. It changed mine more than a decade ago. I believe those days are over. People who are open to actually engage with ideas in good faith don't exist anymore - or at least they don't go to GBATemps politics forum.

That none of this matters is a great comfort to me, but I still feel the need to try. I know it's never gonna convince anyone who has lost touch with reality, but maybe there are people watching who might otherwise believe them if it goes uncontested.

Almost everything is political these days, but even back then, political arguments would break out constantly. Just look at the news section for 5% of what it used to be. This section gives the worst kind of people the space to yell at each other.

If you don't want to be here- and I empathize, look at this place- I believe there was a setting to prevent it from showing up on the sidebar. That's a far better solution than removing the section and letting all this loose on the whole forum.

The AC Shadows delayed thread took 2-3 days to get "trans people are all rapists and scream in tiktok videos" (lol) to be removed. A wojak avatar news section culture war regular even signed up for patron to put ragebait into their title.

Tolerating these people doesn't contain them, it attracts more of them and emboldens them.
