IS there an easy way or app to LOWER the resolution of games in handheld mode?

There are certain games that run like garbage and I would actually prefer they have slightly lower resolution if it would bring faster or at least a stable framerate. It is a small minority of games that I would actually do something like with but is there a way and could it improve framerate?

The same way you increase the resolution, it has to be done with game specific cheats or patches.
Some games already run at like 480p so it would not be advisable to lower it further for certain games.
You should look into overclocking if you haven't done so already. It can make a big difference.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately there isn't a resolution patch for death end request. It is locked at 720p and I thought if it was lowered to 480 it might run better. The game is basically unplayable due to slow down and stuttering to me. I wonder if there is a place for peasants like me to beg for patches from those who create them? Overclock helps a little but not much. Would rather it looks blurry at 480p if that means it won't stutter.
