I believe its *=* in 2.80, I swapped to instinct and it works fine. But I've ordered a rp2040-tiny, will test it out with the 47/100/100 as soon as it arrives. To be fair, it's hard to notice this issue because nobody actually restart 20 times in a row. Most people would just turn it on off a few times to make sure it works before reassembling the switch. The one I had only booted to ofw on the 18th tries the first time.

Every time it boots into ofw, I noticed that it never attempted to glitch, just straight to ofw, once the power button is pressed, just blue once then mmediately **= (2.75), or *=* (2.80)

Where did you order it from. Pcbway gives me error on the uploaded gerber file
JLCPCB did you create the gerber with software like Altium ?

I am pretty sure that with tiny you wont have any issues at all. After hundrends of switches i had some wierd cases like yours. I also use sometimes clones from ali for quick installations, when i have lot of other stuff to fix, but when sometimes these clones fail rp tiny will always work. Just be sure to change cmd and dat0 to 100 ohms. Use 0201 resistors. 2.75 always work.

0201? Oh no.. I ordered 0805 according to the guide. Is it too big for rp2040-tiny

The wier size bro and from where you buy it.

No wonder, it looks like a total mess.

and what do you mean by your resistor values? 47,100,100

Standard is 100/100/47…

Cmd and Dat0, 100ohm
Clk 47ohm.

So what is it?? Your pictures is so low quality that it is impossible to check anything…

Yes as per guide CMD dat0 100 ohm. Sorry bout the low quality pic. I just wanted to quickly put it together to test it out. It glitches fine 11 tries in a row then on the 12th time boots ofw.

So you're suggesting the messiness caused the failed glitch...? 🤔

Maybe remove the flex cable that is attached and just run straight wires. Also maybe shorten the length of those wires if possible.

The symptoms are exactly the same as the generic pre-assembled rp2040 that is being sold on AliExpress.

I don't come across this very often so I wanted to test it out before resorting to instinct. This is just the second unit actually. Just sharing my finding. So please be kind. 🫤

not its definetly *==, I saw the video he sent to my fb messenger

I also suggested to him to change the resistor values to 100/100/47 as posted here, but he already tried that ages ago as he says and it doesnt work.

this issue is definetly not a soldering issue, resistor values or something, @rehius definetly need the hardware that have the issue to check it out.

else, all I can say is, instict-nx is the only fix or you can just deal with the issue, at least it works.
