Goldleaf - A Nintendo Switch multipurpose homebrew tool

Goldleaf

Goldleaf is a multipurpose homebrew tool for Nintendo Switch!

Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

Hi, I have reported that but no one cares... I think goldleaf is dead.
It isn't dead i would say. XorTroll always disappears into oblivion for what feels like months and thus fails to adapt its stuff to current (custom) firmwares, which can be quite annoying. If I need an installer and Goldleaf doesn't work with the current FW for weeks, I switch to alternatives. Goldleaf may have been so great. But it feels like that he has the problem that he always starts 100 projects at the same time, doesn't test everything enough or doesn't follow the user feedback about bugs seriously enough after release and that he doesn't update his stuff for ages to keep up with new (C)FWs.

I think it's something like that, I saw many times that their update releases coincided with a new firmware update and that must be bullshit.
sucks, especially when there are updates with such short periods of time (it's happened a couple of times that the updates are one after the other)
Well, let's be honest, maintaining this is a voluntary act, and I really appreciate it, especially since no one pays (including me) for the time you have to put into it.
I don't want my comment to sound like a complaint, quite the contrary.

Hello, I have some problems installing multiple NSP at once using the latest stable release.
I'm trying to install a folder with 90GB on NPS inside, but it says
Error: 2356-0001
Module: GoldLeaf (356)
No enough space on storage
While I have more than 400GB free of space.
I can install them 1 per 1 just fine, but not all at once.
And yes, I tried of course to install on the SD card, not internal memory.

Any ideas?

Its safe to say that Goldleaf is dead so you should consider moving onto another & more updated title installer such as TinWoo Installer.

Goldleaf v1.0.0 is finally released! Go check it out: https://github.com/XorTroll/Goldleaf/releases/tag/1.0.0

All the various changes are detailed in the release page changelog.

As always, a big thank you to all the people who helped supporting, testing, finding bugs and suggesting improvements for this and my other projects!

hello i am curiouse is there a way to set one color for ui of gold leaf so it stops changing on me some of the colors make it hard to read other wise this is awesome thanks for making this app it works great

Is there a way to set up a starting directory? I only access SD contents inside "Switch" directory, and I'd like Goldfoil to start directly there, instead of always move them manually.
Is it possible? Thanks.
Too bad I can't find informations about the settings file, the example one on github page is not clear enough.

@XorTroll , could you fix this 100% crash on 1.0.0?
choose USB drives, if there is a usb drive plugged in, push B on this screen will cause Atmosphere to crash

As much as I like DBI, it is discontinued, and that's a problem.
It was so good, and so polished. It eclipsed other installers. Now that it's gone, we have very few options left, and none is nearly as good as DBI.
Latest Goldleaf version (1.0.0) is a year old. Latest DBI version is waaaay newer than that. So in my world Goldleaf has been discontinued for longer than DBI

just reporting a 100% crashing bug and hope it will get fixed
But when? That's always the problem with xortroll. He releases, then you don't hear anything from him. He hasn't been online here since mid-July. And he doesn't respond to the issues on github. That put me off using his tools ages ago. Because what's the point if everything works now, but everything breaks again with the next firmware update?

Source? Never heard of that.

the app has been working on every firmware after it's release, probably no one reported the bug, and I checked before posting, if he's not around for months already then I would not have posted this
