First of all, most of the time the Memory Card saving issues happens because: users don't use real BIOS instead of HLE.
Go to Settings, then in "General", set the "Select Bios" option as "SD" or "USB" (but not HLE) and set "Boot Through Bios" as "On".
Also try not to use Fast Load, because while useful for games which have longer loading times, it might break some games.
Thank you!! The issue was indeed the BIOS setting. I had a BIOS installed but I wasn't actually pointing WiiStation to it. Saving works well now :)

@DaSkanker Thank you for the settings, that's what I already had setup but it's great to know I was on the right track there. It's especially good to know that multi-disc save persistence works well too since I'll be playing through Lunar now :)

Thank you both!

New build of WiiStation until git fafb626

Only change here is removing an unnecessary function call at LoadGPUPlugin, but unsure if it's related to the (new?) crashes at exit that some users reported some posts ago.

Please test this, thanks ;)

PS: opengxGpu is still broken (has broken graphics) but it's still being developed.

Hi SaulFabre

So i've currently been having a play to test to see if the quit crash is fixed on this recent drop.

These are my findings from my testing.

First 7 games exited fine.
Then next crashed on quit.
Then next 2 fine.
Then 1 crash on quit.
Next 8 fine.
Next crashed on quit.

I would like to point out that I was not taking note of games in this test, that i have a mixed bag of .pbp .chd and .cue in my collection and am unsure which games caused crashes.
The last one that caused a crash was in .cue/bin format.

I'll also point out that where the crash occurs has now changed for me.
Before it would happen when I pressed the quit button.
Now it happens when I click yes on am I sure I want to exit to loader.

So upon findings I'll say whatever magic you have done is a good step in the right direction.

I've not tested wiistation as a stand alone so maybe it could be an exiting back to wiiflow issue that I'm having.

Again thanks so much for your works and I hope these findings help in some way.

save settings are:

memcard: usb
savestate device: usb
autosave: yes
first of all:

put the BIOS of PS1 as SCPH1001.bin on device_root:/wiisxrx/bios/
then in Settings set the following settings:
Select Bios - as SD or USB (NOT HLE)
Boot Through Bios - as Yes

also, the Memory Card game saves on WiiStation are saved and named with the CD-ROM ID of the game on .mcd format, in device_root:/wiisxrx/saves/
Example: for Rayman (USA), which has the CD-ROM ID SLUS-00005, it will be saved as SLUS00005.mcd

i have lag/hang problems when using games in chd format is this normal or not? im using usb hdd
Yeah, that's normal.

With CHD, there's some stuttering (more or less frequent/severe depending the games), but it's bearable.
Use the Old Soft video setting to minimize it.

But it's always better to go for bin+cue, especially as you have enough space on a HDD.

Note: it may be also possible that some FMVs in some games are skipped/not loaded with CHD format (I'm currently testing it on Soviet Strike, to find the culprit).

CHD playback also depends of which compression types are you using.
I recommend using ZStandard only or ZStandard+FLAC.

Yep, I went first to cdzs (ZStandard) only, but someone here said that adding cdfl (FLAC) won't impact performance.

So I test only with cdzs+cdfl CHDs, maybe I should go back to cdzs only?

Full FPS speed incoming.
yeah but

1. Not all games are full FPS speed on GX, since a few gamed i have tested still need frameskip.
2. Textures are broken and some graphics aren't displayed correctly, on all games.
3. Even 2D games (and 2D elements on 2D and 3D games) have still glitches on GX video renderer.

But i will say, that since it's still a WIP, all these problems are expected. We need some more time to see any further progress in it.

Hello everyone,
I have done a WiiSXRX Single Rom Loader by using SaulFabre method by adding arguments into meta.xml.
It works well, the game auto boot when I launch it.
Unfortunately, when I plug a controller (classic or Pro) before launching Single Rom Loader, it does not recognize it when the game starts. Afterwards if I click on Wii Reset button to access to WiiSXRX menu, then the controller is recognized and I can resume the game, the controller works.

Is it a way to force controller detection without having to press reset button ? Or that could be a great feature for next release.
PS : I use the version 3.2 and games are in SD cards

Isn't the software renderer the main (if not the only) thing holding back the speed?

Actually, only one guy here achieved to use his HID controller (a dualshock too) in Wiistation, launching it from a SD card (so the wiisxrx/controllers folder is in the SD card)

For my part, no luck with two Dualshock 3, either from SD card or USB (the .ini file should be detected from USB too, it's in the code). I tried gazillions of things to make Wiistation detect them, but it simply doesn't work (the 4 leds continue blinking forever).

My Dualshock 3 is correctly detected in Nintendont and Snes9xTX, though (even when plugged in the USB port #1).

For people having trouble with DualShock 4 controllers on WiiStation: *clear cough*

Please download the new controller .ini files from the official repo, please. Thanks.
