Make sure the date is current on your console, it does matter as I didn't change the date range on the special stages.Once again I can't get this to work. I tried different saves including the one provided and I still can't get the Extra Data to load. Special stages just won't show up.
I'm emulating it though.Make sure the date is current on your console, it does matter as I didn't change the date range on the special stages.
Then change the emulated date and time on the emulator ;pI'm emulating it though.
Most likely not until I'm motivated to actually finish the mod fully, cause I'm hoping to make this terrible installation method obsolete, I hate it too.Any updates on a video tutorial for this process? This is super confusing.

I did. I changed it to 2021, but it didn't do anything. Then change the emulated date and time on the emulator ;p
I just resaw what your error was, you didn't edit your save data to remove the update check, you don't edit the save in the zip file, you do the edit to your own save file, make a copy of it before doing so.I did. I changed it to 2021, but it didn't do anything.
I did edit my own save file. When yours didn't work, I tried my own.I just resaw what your error was, you didn't edit your save data to remove the update check, you don't edit the save in the zip file, you do the edit to your own save file, make a copy of it before doing so.
Okay, the only other thing that I can even suggest is make sure you're using a 1.5.0 rom of the game, and make sure that there isn't any extra data on your emulator.I did edit my own save file. When yours didn't work, I tried my own.
I tried patching a 1.5.0 version, but it keeps on telling me that I'm using an older version.Okay, the only other thing that I can even suggest is make sure you're using a 1.5.0 rom of the game, and make sure that there isn't any extra data on your emulator.
Hi, I was following your method but looking the guide I noticed it's missing the step inside the HxD to change the value and then apply the patch.Unfortunately, because I've not figured out a way to deal with code edits for 3DS games that doesn't intimidate me, there's instead a small hex edit to any existing save files which have had specials unlocked. Once you have a back up of your save file, put your SD card into your PC, make a copy of the folder the back up is in, put it somewhere safe, and then drag the one you'll be using for the preservation mod into HxD or your hex editor of choice. Basically, these values that are highlighted in the save data need to be changed to 00 00. Once you're done that, save the edits and delete the .bak file it created.
I'm not removing the image, it keeps deleting itself. You can't redownload 1.5.11 unless you backed it up, that is the entire reason this patch exists in the first place, if the patch is installed, it will still claim to be on 1.5.0, however you will have all of the content from 1.5.11, except the competition megas are still obtainable.Hi, I was following your method but looking the guide I noticed it's missing the step inside the HxD to change the value and then apply the patch.
For what reason do you removed the image? It's not possible to follow without that edit
Btw, I booted my game after a while and my game is stuck to the 1.5.0 version while the last updated the game received was 1.5.11.
I know it's all about extra data but how can I add these type of data inside my save? The server are now offline and even going on Nintendo eshop, it doesn't give me any option to download that data (same for the game it give me an error when connected to internet always for the same reason).
Do I need to find someone else extra data and copy them on my 3ds?
The save file will unlock specials on any version of the game which is either 1.5.11, or the mod itself. Make sure you have the patch applied properly. If you have done this, my next suggestion is to make sure your clock is accurate, not just the clock of your system, but also the clock on Citra, as that can be set separately to the clock on the system.Hi, i have used the included save file but specials are not unlocked. Am i missing something? I am using citra
You haven't deleted your extra data. You need to do this BEFORE the hex edits on your save file.Hi! Sorry for asking but I've got a question: maybe I'm just dumb but it only works partly for me. I patched the decrypted cia with the file from GitHub. With a few of the hex edits I saw here in the comments I managed to fix the issue with the time being changed. Also the events are back thanks to this mod. Only the megas from the event don't work. They still require an internet connection. Is there any fix to that or is it also because of the time change thing. Also it is on version 1.5.11 when I start it.
I can't assist you with this part. You have a rom that isn't from the e-shop if this is happening, and I am not providing you with one from the e-shop.I am trying to get this to work but it keeps saying: "This patch is not intended for this rom"
With every rom I could find.
Can you DM me and try to help please.
