Hacking Homebrew Help solving error in Checkpoint on my 3DS?

So I went to back up my Fire Emblem Fates (Special Edition) save file using checkpoint, however when I went to Backup it gave me the following error

"Error: 0xC8804478
Failed to open save archive."

Also the game's logo doesn't show up on the top screen it just appears as a black box.

The game was installed through hShop and seems to run perfectly (can connect to internet, use DLC etc.)

can anyone help?
