Help

I was transferring some files from my SD to my computer, and then I put my micro SD card back in my new 3ds, and it won't boot, it just a black screen and the blue light, when I boot the console whiteout an micro SD card it runs normally, I try almost everything to fix this, if you have an idea why this happen it would help me a lot

This are some things that I have done
(put a backup in the 3ds, put another micro SD, format to fat32 again an transfer all the data again; this took 2 hours, boot the new 3ds in safe mode, rename the Nintendo 3ds folder, etc, etc.)

If anyone know how to fix whiteout buying a new SD card reader it will help a lot

Pd: sorry for the bad English, hope I made myself clear

done, yeah probably its the Sd card reader at this point i tried everything, i`m going to buy a new one but they are hard to find, theres only for the New nintendo xl
What 3ds model do you have exactly? If you have an old 3ds model, change the sd card adapter, or check the lock slider on it, make sure it's "unlocked".
yeah i used that already whit my two Sd cards, i think its the card reader at this point
The timing is a bit suspicious tho, you removing the sd card just to transfer some files on pc and then boom, but i guess it can happen..
One thing you can try if it's indeed the sd reader, is to re-seat the ribbon cable, it could be just loose and not completely dead. Worth a try imo.

There have been reports in the past of people being able to see a bent pin within the SD card reader and subsequently straightening it out. That's probably much more likely than the ribbon cable somehow becoming unseated.

No, no; The usual way we format cards (among other devices) as FAT32 is to use guiformat.
Simple, free, and small tool that gets it done simply and easily.
Yes, that does work in most cases, but some larger cards have additional partition data and in those cases guiformat is inadequate. Also Minitool Partition Wizard is just as free as guiformat. (And it won't try to automatically select your C drive somehow.) But in any case there are unlikely to be partition issues with a 16 GB card.

GUIformat doesn't leave any extra partition data unless the card was improperly cleared out; in this case, use diskpart in the Windows Command Prompt to clean it, which will wipe it of ALL partitions and data. Do be careful with that as well. Also yeah, if it is the reader it could be a loose cable or bent pin.

And I'm not saying it does. Usually when people need to use Minitool Partition Wizard or godmode9, it's because they're using a brand-new card that was configured strangely by the manufacturer.

Yes, you could do that, but then you'd need another tool to format the partition as FAT32 anyway. Also diskpart is hardly user-friendly.

And? This is GBAtemp. I can help. And the tool to use in question after cleaning would be guiformat. (or GM9 if you have a copy of GM9 in your NAND) I just don't trust partition "wizards" unless they were part of the OS itself (only exception here being gparted because I know it's good, even if it's Linux-based)

Yeah I did that whit the ribbon cable, it doesn't look broken but it have a little mark in the bottom, I think it's that

Even i looked with a microscope and it just that, a little pressure mark 💔
