im having problems with recovery and custom launcher (ark 4.19.16). im getting an "Error, missing file TXT.PNG" and could not start it at all

ok, false alarm. i forgot to update the theme i currently use to the latest version
everything working now

I've noticed that happens a lot actually. It's really important to change every file each time you update. Otherwise, troubles arise more often than not.

Made a small update to fix Peace Walker reporting "not enough space". All games should work fine now. You can also copy-paste lines in the text editor.

ok, i figured out why i see nothing while editing spoofer config in your file manager.
the spoofer config is in "UTF-16 LE BON" format which is probably not supported
when i changed its format to "UTF-8" editor viewed it correctly.

The release notes mention games crashing, but this also fixes an issue with the built in FTP when the system goes to sleep.

I had just noticed that when the system went to sleep while using the FTP, you could wake the system but it would only show the custom launcher background. The only way to fix it was to remove the battery.

I was going to report a bug, but I saw the new release. I just checked and it fixed it. Nice.

I had no idea about this bug and I have no idea what fixed it. Though I did some changes to the launcher/recovery code I don't recall touching FTP stuff, though who knows maybe it was a GUI thing that got fixed and it affected the FTP since I did change some of the GUI code.
In any case, lets hope it doesn't break again (do let me know IF it breaks again).

Go to recovery menu (via VSH menu), scroll down to the last options, select the region and exit, wait for XMB to load and insert the UMD.

then you're not really running ARK. Try booting the PSP while holding home button, this should boot into OFW, from where you can run ARK loader.

No, to back up umd disks you better use some homebrew like UMD dumper. Don't forget to make room in your memory card before starting the process.

It lets you set the USB mount to the UMD drive. If you do that and connect it to a PC, you should be able to see the UMD files as an .iso and copy it to your computer.

It does, on PSP at least. On Vita it's not compatible (for now).
