My PS2 is making a lot of noise and if I insert the MCs the farthest possible, they aren't recognized (if I loose them a bit, they are). I have these problems for years and recently my DualShock 2 has had left analog stick drift after it dropped.

I connected Portta Component to HDMI Converter to my 1080p TV before doing the same to the new 4K one and now it blacks out, though I have audio when playing PS2. I even tried the PS2 to HDMI adapter which was working (though it sometimes blacked out). I also tried different HDMI cables and directly connecting them to the TV and not to the HDMI switch. I have the same issue in all situations.

Your video settings are out of wack. You need to reset them blindly.
Once the ps2 loads,
push [down] [x] (this brings you to system settings)
push [down] [down] [down] [x] (this brings you to component video selection)
push right then X
Should reset your video to standard.
Either that or something got misconfigured in you tv menu.

I recall that, I checked and it's still set to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr".

You probably need to hook up your standard cables for it to work.

Also how can you know what it's set to if you can't see the video?

What standard cables are you talking about? I only have third-party component ones and though they work in this TV, they don't in the new since it doesn't even have component inputs.

Because when I do it, a message saying "No signal" appears, which means I set it to "RGB", so it was already set to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr". It seems I lost money in Portta Component to HDMI Converter thing (and in the PS2 to HDMI adapter) for nothing. How will I play PS2 in the new TV?

Standard video cables, the red, white and yellow ones. I never had much luck with that brand of component to hdmi converter. Wouldn't even work with my old xbox 360 to display an image on my older 4k tv many years ago. Worked with the wii and original modded xbox but it was a no go with the 360 or PS2. Couldn't use hdmi on the 360 since the port was dead and I didn't feel like replacing it.

Another other option would be a component to RF modulator but they are very, very expensive and it's possible your new 4k tv doesn't have a coax input anyway.

I no longer have those.

It's working fine now. I hope it works in my new 4K TV.

It supposedly has two RF inputs.

What about 240p PS2 games? Do I need to use GSM's PAL and NTSC settings for those and for most PS1 games to have display?

I do not know. All I can say is try it and find out.

I tried it and it worked in the new TV (LG OLED42C26LB). I used GSM's "PAL" setting. This setting even works for NTSC games. Anyway, doing this every time I want to run one of these games is annoying.

Buy a ctr then

Now, my PS5 is making a lot of noise when reading discs. The shelf where it's placed is tilted, so may it be causing it? I didn't have this problem in the previous self which isn't tilted. Maybe now the PS3 (which is also in the same shelf as the PS5, the former's external HDD and the PS TV) is also louder when reading discs than in the previous shelf which isn't tilted. May this mess up the consoles, especially their BR players (and maybe the PS5's external HDD which is in a vertical position and the PS TV)?

The ps5 does make a lot of noise when reading discs

But it wasn't making this noise at all in the previous shelf, which isn't tilted. Also, it randomly starts making noise and then stops when using discs (though this might've happened in the previous shelf too). The PS3 might be louder than before as well.

Didn't even know there were button combos, but I do have ftp working as well as a dual sense controller.

After choosing the european Yakuza 2's NTSC in-game setting after choosing OPL GSM's PAL setting (if I don't do the latter, I have no signal), the intro FMV slows down, but if I choose the european Yakuza 2's NTSC in-game setting after choosing OPL's GSM's NTSC setting, it doesn't.

Dunno. Opl seems to have different compatibility depending on version. I could never get mm anniversary collection to work despite it showing fully compatibile.
