My PS2 is making a lot of noise and if I insert the MCs the farthest possible, they aren't recognized (if I loose them a bit, they are). I have these problems for years and recently my DualShock 2 has had left analog stick drift after it dropped.

I opened the page and there it states it's software. Anyway, after opening that link, it's stated it's for the PS2, not for the PS1.
The descriptions on aliexpress are almost always inaccurate and wrong........ the device can be used with all retro consoles because you simply connect a component or scart cable etc. of the respective console to the gbs control and the whole thing then outputs to the TV via HDMI.

If you are still unsure, you should just watch a few youtube videos....

OK, but it's still expensive for me and a step would be needed to make it work like most PS1 games and some PS2 games on the PS2 with GSM after connecting the PS2 to Portta Component to HDMI Converter (e.g.) or does it just need to be connected without following the step?

In that case, it' even more expensive. I find it hard to believe there's no other alternative that can play games without burning them to CD-Rs.

There is always emulation, If you were going to spend a $1000 on a PS1 Digital HDMI Xstation, then may as well get a portable windows handhelds like Aya Neo or Onexplayer that can handle emulation.

What do you mean by "pre-assembled"? Is it still required to connect it to the PS1 by physically modifying the latter?

Pre assembled mean you don't have to do any soldering, just connect and play.

I don't know what I should do since there might be PS1 games which are not compatible on the PS2 id running POPStarter and on the PS3. I've yet to buy a PSC, so I don't know if it would be compatible with it.

That popstation compatible list has nothing to do with PlayStation classic.

Anyway the classic has a compatiable list also
