Hi, I have a question that I want everyone to answer, that is do I install mod apk on my computer whether it will harm my computer or not. Since I've never installed the mod on my computer before, I don't know if it will do any harm. Can anyone give me some answers?
Thank you.

It's an APK file meaning that it is for Android. Do be sure to scan it with an antivirus before installing it onto your actual phone.

The apk files I download are generally from reliable sources so I'm comfortable enough to install them and use as it is. However, doing a virus scan would be a good idea.

It's best to be extra careful though, especially when downloading apps from the Play Store even, as you can also find malware there too.

True. I just use very specific apps for my needs and not much unknown stuff.

Google should change the name of their app store since "Play Store" seems to indicate it focuses in gaming. They've already switched Google Play Music to YouTube Music, and Google Play Movies to YouTube, so it may be coming.

I also wish they'd get rid of Google Groups 'cause I'm apparently part of three groups, yet I can't remove or delete them.

An APK isn't for installing to a Computer. It's an Android Package file so you'd install the software to a mobile!

I've downloaded APKs from very dodgy sites and always managed to get away with no virus, though I have no double people do end up getting them so... Maybe scan them before any install using a anti-virus designed for mobile?

Unless you use something like BlueStacks to install them.
Yeah I suppose, but I wouldn't have thought that APK modders would bother with creating something to harm a PC if you know what I mean?

I can imagine the amount of people that use android emulators on PC is quite small. If the APK had some virus specified for Android then it'd just be contained to bluestacks I suppose? Clueless with how it all works so might be talking crap ahaha!

Well, unless it's Windows 11, I guess.

I only ever use installable apks for stuff I don't mind while secure apps, I get them from Google's App Store.
Windows 11 has APK support? Oushhh I didn't know that. My laptop was really trying hard to push me to 11 and it's a fat no from me ahaha

Me neither.

If Windows 11 had Google App Store support it'd be great, but it's actually more alike to using an emulator. I mean, you can use the Amazon App Store though everyone knows it's shit (which is why people install Google's services on Fire tablets).

Thanks for everyone's comments! Let me ask more, recently I have consulted on some techloky web forums, there are many very safe mod apk versions. Is it true, people?
