This is incorrect. Once the egg has been generated and collected, the code is no longer necessary. You can save and restart your game with no codes active and that egg will still be shiny.

Yea, that's what I say, and then people try the code and it doesn't work. So, a guaranteed method has been to hatch it with it on.

Ok, so I found out that you CAN summon hisuian forms. So far I managed to summon Growlithe and Zoroark, testing out Ash Greninja (which does exist) and Hisuian Typhlosion

This code only changes the name of the pokemon to Japanese correct? The region is still considered North America.
In almost every pokemon game it just a label on the pokemon as "JPN" or FRE etc.

I used this code and I got the Dittos w/ Japanese name but there's no label which makes me believe the region is still considered North America

theres a disable encounters code bud run that to change it back, then fly to a new location (refresh encounters) and it should change back.

i wasnt actually even asking for me couldnt care less about breeding in these games i always just use pkhex i was asking for the previous person who asked if a shiny egg code existed that works not for myself first of all, secondly it seems to me if youve something to contribute or say or add besides being confrontational for the sake of doing so? you would have done that by now.

that is what i did but it didnt work. when i closed the game and opened it is what fixed it. The codes dont seem to work at all on violet tho

Because you, as the trainer, catched the pokemon and your region isn't JPN or FRE, right?
So if you are the original owner, the game knows, it can't be from another region.
At least, this is the most logical explanation.

I mean, the game even explains to you, that other region pokemon will boost the chances, but if it's not from another region, how should it boost anything?
It's the same region as your trainer just with a different name.
I hope no one thought, it would boost anything
