The thing is nearly 7 years old. That should say a lot about why I might hate it right there.
Everything inside of it is 7 years old except for the video card that is about two years old technology wise. We tried getting replacement parts for it awhile back, but of course it has one of those smaller cases, so it sucks ass trying to find things that fit inside of it. Nobody in my house knows how to build a computer either, so moving everything into a larger case would have been a stupid move, as something wouldn't have worked after.
It's at the point where a flash game such as Robot Unicorn Attack being run for more than a couple of minutes brings the computer to a crashing halt and requires a restart if you actually want any browsing speed throughout the entire computer, from files to the internet. Still about 20GB free on the 120GB main HDD, it's just that the machine is pretty much ancient in terms of technology. I'm surprised it can run Portal so well, though I'm sure that's primarily because of the upgrade from an on board chip set to an actual video card.
I just hate it, a lot. Browsing the internet is a strain for this thing anymore.
I need a new computer, or you know, just something not so damn old.
