Hello-
I was wondering if anyone could please make me a simple Max/Unlimited Money code for the NDS game called "Puppy Palace" please . I tried making one..... Wich worked. But AFTER it corrupted and erased my saved game file. If ANYONE could make a money code that WONT delete/corrupt my save game file, I'd extremely appreciate it so VERY much. Thank you very much.

"But AFTER it corrupted and erased my saved game file"

Did that happen more than once? There have been games in the past with anti cheat methods, which might well extend to erasing a save, but I would not really expect it in an early 2008 title made to cash in on the very tail end of the Nintendogs craze. On the other hand such games have seen the occasional bored dev left to do their own thing.

If you still have the cheat then please test it, if not then can you remake it (assuming it was the standard have some money, spend some, check, spend some, check, spend some, check..... routine) and test that.

It's for a game called "Puppy Palace" and yes I've tried the cheats 3 times and it did it every time .I'd play the game some WITHOUT the cheat .Then when I would need a refresher on money I'd put the action replay in and while the game would load I'd get a message saying the game file got corrupted and it had to be erased. I don't want to have the action replkay in all the time. Just pop in it for a minute when I would need a quick boost up on money. ....

I am slightly curious now.

Assuming you did not touch the save file then for it to fail like that usually means the game has a sanity check, or there is some kind of more traditional anti cheat in play. Could also be that if you put FFFFFFFF in the payload and it maxes out at several 9's decimal or something that it errored out there (maybe try a smaller number if you can, though one still several times larger than someone might be expected to have). Should have mentioned that one in the previous post really.

Possibly simple solution if it is not just the 9999...99 rather than whatever FFF...FF comes out to thing from above. While I might expect them to have a mirrored or obscured value for money then I might not necessarily expect it for items. If there is something you can sell in the game then same thing that gave your infinite money will hopefully also be able to be made to give you a large number of something to sell.

After this then yeah time to see what the problem is. This is often a tiny bit more involved than the simple cheat making, though there are still options (guide for the GBA but the logic applies to most systems out there https://web.archive.org/web/20070620103156/http://etk.scener.org/?op=showtutorial&st=7 , others playing along at home then the tutorials on that site are a great intro to cheat making). Encrypted values, mirrored values, values jumping between locations (probably not the case here), inverted values, alternative reference values, values not being the same as on screen and other such things are what I would look for here.

I probably don't have the time or computer geared for it right now to give it a punt myself.

The code started out as 12 then followed by 6 other characters, the second half of the code was 0000270FF...... Wish someone could make me one please .Nothing complicated. Just a max/infinite money code for the DS game "Puppy Palace" where I don't need to keep the AR in all the time .Just pop it in when I need a refresherrefresher of money WITHOUT it corrupting my gave and forcing erase.. ...

"12 then followed by 6 other characters, the second half of the code was 0000270FF"

https://doc.kodewerx.org/hacking_nds.html
Type 0x01
16-bit
1XXXXXXX 0000YYYY Writes halfword YYYY to [XXXXXXX+offset].
02000000h and up is the Main Memory for the DS ( http://problemkaputt.de/gbatek.htm#dsmemorymaps ) so that sounds OK.

The other part though I don't know about
I don't know if you added an extra F at the end there. 270F is 9999 in decimal so I will operate under that assumption. Unless the money limit is lower than that (try 5000 decimal = 1388 hex if you want, or indeed find whatever money you have at one point, put the next lowest value in and see what happens there) then you might well have some kind of check in the game or mirrored value you missed. If you can sell stuff then I would look at adding a stack of items to sell as it tends not to attract as much scrutiny from anti cheat devs (though it still can).

"Nothing complicated."
You can't really make that claim. If indeed it is a dev having some fun with safe programming practices then making such a code can end up quite involved compared to normal cheat making as you have to figure out what is being done by the game that the simple cheat breaks. Sometimes it can be as obvious as finding whatever values change (rather than equal to/greater than/less than searches all the time) and seeing it is some kind of inverted value that is also stored, other times it is considerably more involved and you have to bust out the disassembler or observe the save handling to see what it checks or just disable the save handling side of things and seeing if it will resolve itself*.

*I would not place a lot of money on it here. Disabling save hashing tends to be more useful for people editing saves and wanting the game itself to make it look legit upon saving back again. If it still has the "wrong" values in there for its check value or whatever then no amount of saving over it will sort that issue.
