Odd...I don't think it helped though. Oh holy hell this bites, you would have thought there would be a warning about this.

Well, time to assume a fetal pose while sucking my thumb,
Have u tried :
1. opening browser
2. open and close 4 tabs
3. clear cookies
4. exit to home
5. reboot console
6. start web browser
7. reboot again from within web browser
8. launch web browser for 3rd time
9. profit?

Success here :)

First, I changed my wifi's DNS settings to the tubehax dns.

Second, I spoofed via wup installer.

Third, I used that awesome wj44 site, and tried to get the kexploit working, was a bit harder this time. Took about 9 attempts. maybe less. The error was always race attack failed. I did as it said. Back out to menu, into settings. out, then browser and try again, each time until it finally worked.

Fourth, Used NNU patcher. Bam. Straight into eshop from there.

Downloading my games, and no update in sight. There was some weird failed thing i just deleted though. :)

I'm one happy dude. Now... i hope I can get an infinite rupees cheat working in hyrule warriors with geckotcp :P

That actually worked first time for me!

I was trying to run the kernel exploit and the Wii U would just crash every time, I then followed your instructions to the letter and the kernel exploit launched first time.

I've now used the NNU patcher, purchased the Mario Kart 8 DLC and it's currently downloading.

Cheers all! :)

Would this be working?:
I set up a local server and host nnu-patcher on it. Remove the cable that connects my router to the splitter to be offline while loading the .html.
After that I replug the cable to be able to connect to the eshop?
I really want to download Fast Racing NEO to my 5.3.2-Wii U when it comes out..

Success!!! I managed to get my NNID from a broken WiiU to a spoofed one. I had to call Nintendo and give them the old serial number of the broken WiiU, the new serial number, and went through a third degree for identification purposes. I am now redownloading all my paid content.

How should the folder structure look for this to work? I've tried replacing index.html in Mongoose but it doesn't load anything when I restart the webserver. I fail at any coding so I might need some handholding if it's not simple copy/paste for replacing files....

Nevermind, think I got it. You go to the folders .html file in your browser. ID10T error.

I can't wait for a way to really get rid of the update nag, blocked updates here and even with then blocked it always fails to download the update...wish the update remover didn't just stop it from doing whatever it does and could get rid of that nand space...soon
I'm spoofed to 5.5 and have no nags.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Question: So obviously yesterday, an update almost downloaded, key word, almost, and naturally I unplugged the power to avoid it. I turned it back on and nothing popped up about it; I had to disable the parental controls for the IP blacklist to download the VC games. What I want to know is, should I run the update remover as a precaution or would that make things worse?

I unblocked everything, let the update download, let the games download, watched the games install. Launched settings, went to memory management, went to usb, watched it clear (fixes exploit every time) exited, launched browswer, deleted update, powered off, "reapplied blocks", powered on, went to download management, "No downloads", launched kernel, launched pygecko, launched game...worked 100%. Even if the update downloads, it waits till all other downloads are done and installed before it tries.

Maybe you have an update or partial update already downloaded? Did you try using the update remover?
Yes I have. I fear it may just be some garbage that will have to get worked out when emunand/cfw. Maybe it was the fact that on 5.5 spoofed it tried to update and it was but I unplugged it. To onion I have but it still is in download management as a red x

I used the update remover to delete that stupid partially downloaded update; everything's peachy keen after doing that.

Launch the Wii U, hold the "B" button the whole time. It will auto-launch you into Wii mode. Click the Back to Wii U menu button, it bypasses

Well than....stop complaining :-)

Complaining? Well, I was not happy earlier as I thought I had a semi bricked console -_-

Dude, how could that happen, the patch was only in the ram, the download wasn't ever applied. I think you spend too much time re-acting and not enough time thinking, you have like a billion posts..you should be able to understand what is happening around you at this point...and you still haven't learned to code....its been like a month since you said you were going to learn.

There wouldn't be much retail software you could use because you are missing a bunch of libraries on 3.1 :/

Thanks for that info SonyUSA. But if Fix94 was to make a temporary version spoof to go alongside this I would have a hard time staying on 3.1.0 anymore!

Saying that, is there anything stopping us manually installing the missing libraries? Wouldn't the installed Firmware not know they are there and the games looking for them will find them?

No, the libs are part of ios and kernel, which makes you lose the exploitability if you update them.

There is no point on staying on 3.1.0 manly becuase hyken has already stated we will never release the iosu exploit on 3.1.0 becuase it isnt his and im guessing only failoverflow has it too and he aint sharing either so whats the point on staying on something that will never be released? i mean you can already use online, use e shop and load backups on 5.3.2 so whats the point of 3.1.0 even with iosu acess you wouldnt be doing anything you cant do in 5.3.2 lol.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
