I haven't set this up yet, but will be when I get home. I haven't even performed the OS Driver exploit yet so who knows how long I'll be stuck on that step for first launch.

But Reecey, it's quite simple for Wii U (those instructions are for N3DS):

1. Enter System Settings on Wii U > Network Options
2. Change DNS to Manual, and enter 107.211.140.065 for your first server
3. Save settings and try the exploit for eShop again
I'm not sure but this one might be the one that needs unblocking in the list, wifi/shop/cdn "content download"?, maybe> nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net

Great work Fix94! Unfortunately I can't test this either as I'm on 3.1.0 like yourself...

Don't suppose you're working on a temporary version spoof by any chance?

Another take on the system transfer. I have a broken WiiU. I called Nintendo to have the licenses transferred. When I receive a confirmation email, I should be able to link my NNID and redownload my content to my working 5.3.2 spoofed WiiU.

I used my MK8 DLC Code and connected Online with WUP Spoof, used NNU Patcher for eShop Access, and had Nintendo IPs Blocked the entire time through Router, the DLCs both Packs DLd without issues and tested fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't that possibly leave one vulnerable to system updates?
Not sure that one will I think. That maybe to do with downloading paid content through eshop block, if his worked then that is probably the culprit. Needs someone to test it, I haven't got the nerve after the last go :(

  • nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net I think wifi is for connection, shop is for eshop and cdn is for content downloading:)

excellent works, thanks a lot FIX94!

Got this working and bought, downloaded and installed the MK8 DLCs from eShop.
I had a hard time getting the kernel exploit to work, but once it worked everything else was a peace of cake.

my setup:
  • WiiU FW 5.3.2 spoofed to 5.5.0
  • 6 domains blocked by parental controls of router:
    • c.shop.nintendowifi.net
    • nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
    • nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
    • nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
    • nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
    • nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net

i did:
  • run kernel exploit (tried like 30 times until it worked)
  • run nnu-patcher
  • started eshop
  • bought DLCs
  • exited eShop
  • watched DLCs being downloaded in downloads
  • started MK8 to install DLCs
  • have happy kids :yay:

never had anything releated to a system update pop up :)
never had to unblock the 6 domains

Question: So obviously yesterday, an update almost downloaded, key word, almost, and naturally I unplugged the power to avoid it. I turned it back on and nothing popped up about it; I had to disable the parental controls for the IP blacklist to download the VC games. What I want to know is, should I run the update remover as a precaution or would that make things worse?

I don't see the harm in running the remover.

Blocking:
  • c.shop.nintendowifi.net
Seems to block the eShop for me.

With the other fives, the ones starting with 'nus', it works fine:
  • nus.cdn.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
  • nus.cdn.shop.wii.com
  • nus.cdn.wup.shop.nintendo.net
  • nus.wup.shop.nintendo.net
  • nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net

important question is...
Unblocking only c.shop.nintendowifi.net does allow you to download games while maintaining the update at bay?

I don't know, the problem is I don't know if it is truly something I need to run, much less contemplate. I don't know for sure if part of the update in some kind of temporary storage. Can someone confirm its safety?

I've ran it a few times myself, switching between OpenDNS, CCproxy, and the tubehax just to be sure.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSOLE UPDATES OR BROKEN CONSOLES, USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Hey. So I wrote this little patcher which you can get right here:
https://github.com/FIX94/nnu-patcher

For now its 5.3.2 only (not even I could test it since I am on 3.1.0) because it requires the version.bin patch via wupinstaller.
It will temporarily grant you access to the eShop after doing the kernel exploit and using the installer so you can get things from it. For more information just follow the README on the project page.
If I'd be gay I'd now marry you <3

Yeah I had that one clicked on as well in opendns when trying to get my vc titles downloaded. I have deleted that now cause I read back over the tutorial and it seems that it is a 3ds block not a wiiu block so it might be that. Does yours now download ok since removing that domain?

I think I'm shit out of luck. I suddenly cannot access the kernel, or rather, I can access the hosted sites fine, but every time I load the OSdriver, it locks up; no errors, no prompts to tell me that I need to enter the system settings, nothing. I can't load any exploits now.

oh shit I hope not, it might be the same as me then? I ran the update remover a ton of times after just to make sure but the update still tried to install itself. Is your ed TVii icon still there?
