Cfw is also out of the question until Rei, mid-kid or myself make a mset for 8.1 and then people with cfw's port it over. Rei is in the dark as far as I know, mid-kid is waiting for Rei and I since he doesn't have a n3ds. And I just need to tweak a few more things and I'll have mset of course it'll be in my cfw when everything is released.

I'm not confirming, however I'd say a hard mod should be needed (AKA> RECOMMENDED) since you ARE WRITING TO SYSTEM NAND. However you don't NEED one. Mine you'll need a R4i flashcart and a Way to launch Gateway to install nvRam or whatever. Plus a way to use devmenu to install the stuff for mset. For Ronhero, I only remember it writes to nand, I know spoofing eshop and buying a game will also work but again we are trying for free and eshop spoofing is tricky on 8.1. For sure I will say a NAND BACKUP IS NEEDED!!!!!!! This is incase some wack thing happens and you mess something up, at that point you'd need a hard mod to fix your mistakes but again PLEASE MAKE NAND BACKUPS PLEASE! We are still spitballing ways and testing while I'm at a loss for now sadly. I don't need beta testers personally, but if you insist, I DO NEED PEOPLE WITH A HARD MOD, GW, And possibly a SKY3DS. Sorry for the caps, I just want to be sure everyone knows this everyone. Minding, I am not taking it easy while i'm down, yes I don't have a console to test on, but I am still filing through RAW ASM code for mset. This isn't like going to youtube.com and searching how to find 8.x mset for n3ds in raw asm code. This is hard since I'm Reverse engineering Gateway for god's sake. This will take a crap ton of time. Please understand that I am trying, it will be done soon. Not Gateway soon, but Soon, and hopefully by the time I finish RE'ing GW I will have shipped off my consoles and have them returned to me. Thank you all for understanding and We hope to deliver some good news soon. Minding We both also work a lot, I'm also in college so my time is very limited and ron has other responsibilities. We do try and get together every night though and talk about this. Please be patient we are only two men with very low time on our hands. but we do not give up, we are persistent and we will grind this out until the end with success.

If you have 5 consoles why do you need to first hardmod them all, to do a few tests? If you need a way to lunch gateway as you state you do, then you have a nand backup.

That means it doesn't matter if you fuck up and send it for a hardmod or get a hardmod and then fuck it up.

Either way its restorable the same. So you have 4 to play with, still leaving you with a working unit until you restore the others? Right?

This is a rubbish thread with 2 people who can't even perform a simple hardmod, who play around with existing cfw and ideas, neither of which have a history or any proof of programming skill in creating a solution for the scene.

Very helpful in things already done though, for a noob in the scene.

Then one claims to be on 3 digit salary but charges people for cfw setup, (no hard mod included) taking time from his wife and kids (in a claimed already full overburdened working schedule) for petty change in comparison to the claimed 3 digit wage.

to Every extent the guy is wrong. I'm not gonna go into details of our personal lives over the internet because well I really don't have to. Also, I could say the same for you hunter, where are you developing stuff? Also I did help with rxTools for getting n3ds to work with it. Not saying that's much but it's something PUBLIC I did. I don't post my private work because of things like this. Like my cfw, which was set to release publicly with my mset 8.x, this cfw is built around 8.1 consoles but I might not even release it now. He is butt hurt because we won't let him join our skype conversation, and we won't let him into the loop of programming. He has used others to become scene famous on his other account and now he has nothing because he released others work. He is trying to find more to take from and we will not let him. He pesters us on skype, wanting to just "learn" from our group, this guy knows nothing. But good luck with this scene. I'm not officially don but close to it.

I've only just seen this, but man, you can't give up! It seemed like you were really close. There's still quite a few of us that were following and appreciating your progress. You can't let a guy here or there bring you down.

Like I said, no disrespect to everyone here but I am officially done. But that doesn't mean I am going to abandon my work. When I finish I will release it. I will not lie however, I won't be working on this every single day like I was. I am still sending my work to my betas but it will be awhile since again I am not working on this everyday. I now work on mainly other stuff..

Of course it's totally up to you what you spend your time on, and whether you work on this is nobody's decision but yours, and I think MOST of us, if not all of us, respect that. I don't fully understand why one asshole making rude and inappropriate remarks would cause you to wipe your hands of this project/scene/etc. Again, it's your choice, and i am not disputing that.. I just don't understand the reaction. You don't owe me or anyone else an explanation, though.. I'm not demanding one, or even begging for one.
