At walmart, we call those scanners a "Talzon" for whatever reason... (Sounds like tal-zohn)
Telxon used to be a large manufacturer of barcode scanners. Maybe the scanners you use are by Telxon, or maybe the name just stuck as a genericised name for all scanners. It's like calling all photocopiers "xerox machines" or all paper tissues "Kleenex".

You forgot all clear tape is Scotch tape, and all video games are Nintendo games!

And that all Pepsi and Coke products are pop or soda.
Forgetting Dr. Pepper? Dr. Pepper doesn't own as many bottling companies. So Dr. Pepper and Dr. Pepper products are bottled and shipped in Pepsi-styled bottles in several northern regions. Most people mistake Dr. Pepper as a Pepsi product because of this. When you transition from South to North or vise versa you'll find that the bottles on several drinks may change from what you're used to. In Southern regions Dr. Pepper is favored by the general public over Coke and Peps from 3 to sometimes over 15%. Coke always ships in it's own signature bottles, and all sizes of bottled cokes save for the 3 liter are derived from the design of the classic 8oz bottles. Coke is adamant to sticking to their own iconic bottles for branding purposes but other drinks borrow the resources from Pepsi Bottling companies. So there's three major soda companies. Also in the south just calling it pop is weird. With the exception of going out to eat and being specific when ordering a drink, alot of us refer to all drinks as Coke, including non-cola beverages and ones that aren't under the Coke brand. The more you know...

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
