Gaming I think Target just accidentally confirmed Majora's Mask for the 3DS

Not even sort of 3 years. We got the mask in ALBW and the "3 Days" reference", in said game, all in the same year. the end of last year. Then this year, Zelda Williams brought out a Majora's Mask mask, and the revealed the Moon on Hyrule Warriors. If anything we started getting subtle hints at the very end of last year. Don't be ridiculous.

That's exactly the point- we keep getting hints and MM-related Easter eggs and references -we've been getting them for a few years now. Yet 3 years later, we're still waiting for concrete proof. We've had 3 E3 presentations since OoT3D, every year people are expecting Majora's Mask and are just let down over and over.

Isn't it more reasonable to use the logic "unless there is solid proof that it's real, I'm going to believe it's fake"? In a situation such as this, where Nintendo would surely seize the glory of making the announcement themselves, and especially with the substantial amount of information given that makes it more and more likely that this is just the hoax of some random employee laughing their ass off, it's unreasonable to think that this is even remotely legitimate.

It isn't as if an MM remake isn't coming. Nintendo knows it's an easy cash in if there is ever to be an exceptionally dry or lackluster period in the 3DS life cycle (which I honestly feel covers 2014 as a whole so far). Just know that, when it does come, Nintendo will set up a Nintendo Direct to announce it as if they are delivering the directions to the fountain of youth, a miracle that surely nobody was expecting even though everybody will be in this scenario.

Seriously, internet. I have never seen such desperation for the remake of a game that basically only ever had cult classic standing. It's like MM is suddenly the best game ever that just needs to be remade over any amount of original content that could be turned out instead.

Personally, I'm a bit mixed about this. I couldn't really enjoy Majora's Mask as much as other titles in the series, so while this could be the easy way out, I kinda want to see them pull a really unique title out for us. Not to mention that Majora's Mask is available on quite a good amount of mediums...

This is probably one the more tangible pieces of evidence. The only portion you can type in is the Article section, as everything else is automatically filled in. It seems this is for making labels, but I'm not 100% certain. I do know French, but I don't know all the functions.

Okay, let me spell out my reasoning for you, since you seem to be convinced that the moderators are at your beck and call whenever you get some sand up whatever holes you have and will moderate me so hard that I'll be pooping more efficiently until I receive some serious reconstructive surgery.

Everybody seems to be wishing and hoping beyond hope that we'll be getting the remake of an old game with clunky mechanics in the same lazy way that OoT was remade. Honestly, remake is generous for OoT3D as it added almost nothing to the experience but some fancier graphics with the same controls and mechanics that aged about as well as the N64 graphics did (hint: not well). So why would anybody be excited for another lazy remake of a game that I'm sure most of the people practically seizing in excitement over have never even played? Majora's Mask, as I stated, has held essentially cult classic standing since its creation, never really holding the spotlight, and only really being called the best Zelda game whenever somebody felt like they needed to go full hipster. It isn't as if this is an amazing classic that needs to be remade so that current generations can experience it more easily, ya know, if they haven't already on the plethora of platforms the N64 version can already be played on (both legally and illegally). This is just another middle of the road Zelda title that 3DS owners, desperate for games since the 3DS has fallen into one hell of a dry spell throughout 2014, are stupidly wishing beyond wishing for instead of hoping that Nintendo allocates the resources towards original projects and work that will actually reflect modern gaming standards.

Now, why am I being so hard on the "proof"? Because it's the same crap that people cling to every single time a rumor like this kick starts. People have already given ample reasoning that this is almost 100% just a prank by somebody that gained momentum, like they knew it would. This is sound reasoning too, not just people going "nah nah nah, I can't hear you".

As I said before, is Majora's Mask coming? Obviously. Nintendo is going to feed off the collective stupidity that rumors like this manage to pull out of people and make an easy cash in. You can be sure that they'll be announcing it themselves though. They want the publicity that will come with it. That helps push consoles which further pushes game sales.

I got curious and decided to check on my targets PDA
I searched majora

Hmmm yes...

Majora confirmed to be spice and ground.

In srsness I couldn't find it anywhere on my PDA though. I also work backroom so I haven't unpacked any boxes full of em either. I remember when ALBW came out we has like 6 boxes full of them so I'm sure I might run into that some day.

My god, this is the cleanest PDA I've ever laid my eyes on.

And I'd like some Majora with spice too!

There has been chatter about Majora's Mask 3D almost immediately after Ocarina of Time 3D was released, and I'm not just talking about rumors. Dig through Google's archives, you'll see. If you want to mention in-game references, the Mask Shop in OoT3D was lined with masks exclusive to Majora's Mask which is just as valid as the LBW reference.

Developers like Miyamoto and Aonuma have been talking about Majora's Mask 3D for a long time. It was said that it was possible but a new Zelda had to come first. That was in 2011. If you're gonna mention Zelda Williams she also expressed her own desire for Majora's Mask 3D at the same time.

In 2012, they talked about MM3D again. There was also debate over whether or not to do a Link to the Past or Majora's Mask. As you'll know, we have had a new 3DS Zelda since OoT3D and it was a sequel to Link to the Past.

This has been going on for much longer than last year.
