2024 Election - What are your key issues, if you are voting?

It's another inconsistency because in this very thread you claim you're all for freedom and liberty but also mandatory service in military or other (potential back pedal or whatever) which contradict one another.

Sigh.

My personal beliefs are for Life, Liberty, blah blah blah. As stated and detailed.

I still understand we live in America. I can't have it my way. The CANDIDATE I vote for will be based on how closely they align with my personal beliefs, but I understand I am not going to dismantle the entire American way of life with my vote.

I have IDEALS that I wish were true but are not, which align with what I believe in. Still a realist, and while we still live in this particular society, I still have ideas to make things better by changing just a few small things.

We're mandated to do all sorts of stuff in America. There is no way around it. No way around it in ANY society. I'm not stupid or ignorant; I DO know how the world works. I would accept, in this world of mandates, having a mandate that improved the quality of life for all Americans.

We are mandated to attend school from kindergarten to 12th grade. No way around it. We are mandated to get vaccines for measles, smallpox, mumps, etc. No way around it. We are mandated to pay taxes for the common good. No way around it.

All of these things contribute to the common good. I can accept that.

I would still PREFER a world where everyone had ultimate and absolute liberty, but we don't live in that world, so I have to come up with solutions for the country we DO live in.

No inconsistencies. I have described my beliefs and views, but also recognize the world we actually live in, and realize that almost nothing that I believe in is ever going to happen. Doesn't mean it's not still something I believe in.


So, I ask again, what are your key issues, rather than continuing to try to attack me, personally? Either participate in the actual topic, or please find something else to do, Stan.

I'm mostly concerned about what you said re abortion, gun rights and LGBT rights - in which reality a republican win aligns with what you said reported below? More importantly, if said issues are actually relevant to you, how on earth are you a trump supporter?

I support Trump predominantly because folks like you despise him so much, to be honest. It genuinely makes me happy to see you angry over one man that you are literally obsessed with, and who causes you actual emotional distress. It really is just to shove it in your face, more than anything. I mean, you painted a huge target on yourself and said HIT ME HERE. How can I not?

I am not a perfect person, any more than you. I have admitted on this thread to being petty about politics sometimes. I've stated clearly that I hate humans, but I hate liberals and leftists the most. Absolutely owning that bias.

I also said that I barely even like the guy. I just love love LOVE how fannyharmed he makes all of the people I hate the worst. You could replace him with literally anyone else who had the same effect, and I would still be right there laughing at you. I imagine you would do the same to me.

But what you said is telling. Since we agree, I assume, on abortion, gun rights, gay rights, etc; why do you automatically think that anyone who supports those things CAN'T be a Republican? We all have a plethora of issues that matter to us, and there is no political party in this country that enscapsulates all of it, for everyone.

This is why I am a LIBERTARIAN, as I stated multiple times. I don't get down with Republicans, and I openly hate Democrats, for the most part, with a few exceptions.

We agree on more than we disagree about. You just might not want to admit it.

This has to be a troll question, because even a blind person could see why a republican CANNOT be compatible with any of your key issues. Abortion? culture war paired with misoginy. Gun rights? republicans subservient to the NRA. Gay rights? Republicans clearly a homphobic party who despises gay people. Massive spenders for the military in spite of everything else. No care for education if it doesn't involve saddling students with crippling debt.
