A year ago I attempted to get my game engine running on Windows XP. I had specifically designed it with old hardware in mind, and besides installing a Linux distribution, I thought it was stupid and reflected poorly on me as a programmer that you needed a modern bloated version of Windows NT to run games that were meant for early 2000s hardware.

At the time I concluded that it was not possible yet, because we (inadvertently) relied on Harfbuzz, which used GLib. Something previously not made obvious to us, since library distribution works a bit differently on Linux. Gotta love GNOMEslop.

RedHat (and by extension, the GNOME project and FreeDesktop, which are spearheaded by RedHat) have a really bad habit of both extremely pretentious design and trying to bundle software that doesn't need to be included. It's part of RedHat's EEE anti-competitive strategy that they adopted from Microsoft. Some of it is self sabatogue, probably part of a deal.

Examples of this include:

- Unnecessarily excessive RedHat library usage (for example, one font library (freetype) recursively depending on another (harfbuzz) for no reason, which in turn depends on another RH program (GLib) that mostly goes unused. libsystemd being the worst example). This forces people to use more RedHat software and gives them more control.

- Political extremism inside of project management - this is a kind of ritual defamation they'll use to evade criticism. If you call out these problems, an FDO member with a RedHat email address, or one of their elitists (there are a lot of them, mostly fedora users) might come out and call you a Nazi.

- Literally everything about Wayland and the GNOME 3+ UX.
For context, Xorg was forked by RedHat to replace XFree86. After every distribution adopted it, the iPhone got announced and the FDO team tried to chase the tablet computing trend. After Windows 8 flopped and companies realized this was stupid, FDO continued trying to push Wayland's mobile-centric design and this extended into the new interface of GNOME which almost everybody at the time hated. This is an example of EEE: Redhat *embraced* Linux, *extended* the dominant XOrg, and then tried to *extinguish* it. They did the same thing with CentOS and sysvinit.

I am pretty sure all of this is done with the purpose of trying to make Linux unusable so RedHat can profit off of it in another way.
over a year ago, i fell to a disorder named ruminative ocd, and in the beginning phases of it, i was left bedridden for a week straight. i was in so much fear and confusion, that i was pretty much left paralyzed, unable to leave bed, it felt like too much to handle at once. i was deeply lost in my own head, thinking of things the people around me couldnt even comprehend, as i laid there, solid in fear. i was pondering time, space, biology, the very dna that makes us up. it felt like i was lost in a dark room inside my own head, except that room had no walls, it was just aimless darkness. in this time, it truly felt like i had died. it felt like i had left my body, died, and was seamlessly reattached, and revived without me realizing it. Because ever since this moment, nothing ever felt exactly the same. I am still exactly who i am, i still do the things i do, i still act the way that i act (even though i do change), but my baseline common sense for reality and the things around me felt like it had been erased.

I dont really have...anything going on in my life, and i dont have friends, so what i do most of the time is simply think. I think, and think and think, sometimes for hours. I am emotionally intelligent, i understand the emotions of others like glass, yet ive never been able to understand myself in any possible way. Im upset? well, i dont know why. but in these moments where i think, i am able to fully reflect on myself, and understand myself better. And after i had done all of that, this is what i have to say.

Finally got around to setting up iisu, and now I have a Monster Hunter handheld! With one space left for Outlanders when it launches! Been having a blast with Portable 3rd in my travels to and from the office, it's the only game in the series I've never really played properly.
