anyways, yes you heard it, the makers of action replay and mml and other products for nds (rip of gbamp, it was proven) is releaseing something used to MAKE CODES FOR GAMES. this will kill the wifi scene if the released trainers havent already, and other bad things. later!

Sounds terrible. Not just because of wifi ruining features, it just sounds like a massive waste of time.

This is what the famed hacker "Parasyte" from the GSCentral fourms says about this recent development:

"So long, WFC. I loveded yoooouu!
    GOODBYE MY LOOOOOOOOVV~~~~"

EDIT: As an actual responce which I didn't write, heres my responce:

A mass exodus to Xbox Live might force Nintendo to do this in order to maintain demand for WFC games.

J Allard: "We at Microsoft upped our online play security, so up yours Nintendo."

The downside is that Nintendo might consider the presence of FlashMe firmware to constitute cheating, just as Microsoft did with Xbox Live.

I only ever play with other friends, and i know they hate cheating as much as me, so the hacking side of it wont affect us. But the thought of Nintendo upping security to stop a flashme DS from going on WFC is a bit annoying to say the least.

yea, hopefully this will cause nintendo to make some changes that will make cheating very hard, especially for people using this silly action replay thing...

that way only the real hackers will be able to cheat...

    and that's fine with me.

    I LOVE DATEL/CODEJUNKIES!

First they gave us a device to let us make our own GBA cheats, now a device to let us make our own NDS cheats along side the Action Replay DS? Heaven! I don't use Nintendo WFC, so whatever. I love Action Replay.

I love to beat my friends and family especially while cheating. The experience is so much fun I almost wet my pants trying to hold back the laughter in-side.

While I'm not a huge cheater, I do enjoy cheats that make the game HARDER in some cases. I played against a friend that cheated in MMBN2 where he would have 5000hp (2500 though cause of the Hub form) and all kinds of high power chips and would still take his ass on. Unless he used his Darkness "chip". Game over for me in that case. Cheatin prick. : D

Oh and unlocking left over areas and beta shit is sometimes cool too. The Arwing in Ocarina of Time was funny.

But yeah, in some cases, cheating can EXTEND your gameplay experiences and should not be considered lame instantly.

So it's a hardware dongle that goes in our DS, how can we use flash carts then? Not sure if I understand how this works exactly...

I'll buy this in a heartbeat if it actually works (not online, never play online, so I don't care). I like cheating in games, I hate being stuck on a level after endless hours, it kills the enjoyment. Sure, you feel better when you beat that part, but I'd rather bypass all of those negative emotions and jump right to the happy part [IMG]

It should be up to Datel to make it non-compatible with WFC. Simply have the hardware detect if WFC is in use, if it is, disable the card. Or, just don't allow it to be used with WFC games, I dunno. Nintendo should beef up their own security, it's pretty lame that they don't CRC the damn data files.

    Will this work with ROMs?

    Circle one.

    Yes
    No

A doubble post and then a tripple post? Wow.

Okay, anyways, on topic. This is probably a great product for offline, but for me who payed $120 dollars for a nice Linksys router, I'm pissed off about online play.
