A few months ago I created a blog about finding someone's phone, stealing the 8gb SD card and returning it to lost and found. I figured I was going to get flammed to death with people telling me I did something wrong. And everyone basically said I had the right to take the SD card cause I returned the phone or something like that.

Now Zetta_x strikes again, this time, oh so much worse

I found a Dare LG phone on the school parking lot. With much luck, it had some micro SD card in it, so I planned to walk the half a mile to lost and found to return the phone and if no one stopped me to ask for it back I was going to take the SD card as payment. No one said anything so I stole the microSD card. But, I wanted to do something evil because I hate that everyone is so nice to each other and depends on other people.

So I went into the security settings,
by default it was the last 4 digits of their phone number,
looked up their phone information,
got into the security settings,
got into the restrictions
blocked all calls and everything
changed the restriction codes
changed the security codes
returned it to lost and found

And I took the MicroSD card

(It was another 8gb, why do people keep buying 8gb microSD cards and barely using them?)

Also disclaimer, I don't share the same morals as the average person. I grew up in a community where I couldn't trust anyone but my family. Because of that, I don't depend on or socialize with people (unless its for my job, school, professional reasons, etc...) and I hate how pathetic we are as humans. Everyone talking about how we should all be 'good' when 'good' is an opinion. So feel free to post your opinion, won't really do anything.

Seriously, go see a professional about how you act around and feel about others. You won't get far in life with such a stance.

It's his life and he has the right to live the way he wants. I don't really think it concerns you.

I probably would have taken the microSDs as well. :] Well, maybe.

I would have definitely taken the micro sd and I would have sold the phone to a buddy of mine that sells used phones. I don't know his real name but he calls himself t-mobile.

I have accomplished great things in the 21 years of my life =)

I will be soon working towards my masters degree in mathematics and statistics

I have taught a few intermediate algebra classes

Too be honest, I have benefited a lot with taking this stance. Maybe it is frowned upon to be evil so you can't have more benefits then other people?

Sure he can, i'm just suggesting the option. Reading his post makes me think that he would end up feeling quite a bit better if he did.

I wouldn't have took the phone to lost and found tbh! I mean what happens when nobody claims it? someone that works for lost and found just earned a new phone. However if I found the phone and then seen someone searching for it 5 mins later? I would hand it over. It depends on the circumstances really. I would never keep a purse or wallet with someone cash/cards/info in it, I would hand that into the police.

The most I have ever found was a £20 note, I kept it. I honestly don't trust these lost and found places.

Haha, I am thinking about ordering some acekard 2i's and seeing if any of my friends who never heard of a flash cart before are interested in purchasing it coupled with the microSD cards. I can pretty much sell profit from it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was life in the first place that made me believe that what the average person believes in today is a product of brainwashing from society.

Ha, I've done that to this guy already cause he's always doing that to people with the shitty phones he sells.

My mum once found a purse with £3500 in it, she handed it into the police. She met the women who lost it, She only stayed 5 mins away. The women didn't even say thanks or give her a reward, what a bitch. It's No surprise people don't hand things in.

Makes one hope there's some truth to the whole 'Karma' thing.

Isn't it true that the worst parts in your life often lead to greater things? I learn from mistakes, the best thing that can happen to me at this point is something so traumatic that it opens the opportunity for greater things. In reality, having nothing but a good life is what I don't want to happen. So maybe Karma is in effect, because nothing bad is happening =(

I save on average 200 dollars a month, after rent, food, cell phone bills, and misc are paid off. Nothing bad is happening in my fucking life, I need a more interesting life =(

Yeah, I was a bit skeptic on it, but this was the most sureproof plan I could have to protect my identity

Even if that someone found out I returned the phone, I'll just deny it =P

Exactly! That woman would of had the most awesome learning experience ever if she didn't get her money back. Now she doesn't need to go through as much hardships from losing all of it =(

Does anyone know the law when it comes to finding lost items? I'm curious to know especially in the UK. If you find a phone and decide to keep it, is that illegal?

Unfortunately, this ties in with philosophical ideologies. It's been pre-supposed that laws are made to keep us as tools, to keep our weaknesses open by having a false hope that we have strength. So I wouldn't doubt, that the laws are favored illegal to keep someone's stuff.

In reality, when someone loses something, you find it, it's in your hands and not theirs. If they want it back, then they should fight for it back =P

Wait.
You think changing the settings on a phone and taking a MicroSD card is 'evil'. I don't consider that to be 'evil' at all.

It's called human decency.
Growing up in a shitty community is no excuse to not have good morality. Almost every single one of your blog posts are about your negative stance on things. Quite frankly, I don't think you're as evil as you seem to think you are. You did donate money to the guy who made multiman for the PS3.

Oh my god, do you honestly think that? You sound like a child, what your saying is finders keepers losers weepers. Honestly, grow up.
