Gaming Zelda Wind Waker freezing problem

I'm playing Zelda The Wind Waker now on my Wii with the game burned on a GCOS multiboot disc and discovered a horrible bug in the tower level. When you want to view the dungeon map you have to press up on the D-pad. But when you do the sucker freezes big time.
Is there a way to avoid this?

Or is the game playable without having to use the map?

Hopefully someone knows an answer.

omg finally someone with the same bug. i have the same problem on any map screen. it freezes when i view any map. it sucks cause i wanna let my gf enjoy the game

. it has nothing to do with the used media btw

this happens on wii using wiikey

I heard it's a problem with GCOS, so try burning it directly on a DVD with no other games on it.

I have also read that burning it stand alone fixes the issue. GCOS breaks it, but I'm starting to wonder if the new GCOS fixes the issue.
