Zelda BOTW and TOTK Progress Transfer?

Hi guys, I have a pre-order for Switch 2 and will hopefully get it at my local game store's first shipment (Mario Kart Bundle). Anyway, I know that Animal Crossing Islands can't transfer directly between Switch 1 and 2, but what about Zelda BOTW and TOTK game progress? Can those saves/progress be transferred? Thoughts and help appreciated

Yeah, but it will delete everything on the original Switch as part of the transfer.

There's no inherent restriction against moving the island over to your new console. If you'll have both Switches in hand at the same time, you can use the dedicated Animal Crossing transfer tool to move your island over to the Switch 2.

Hi again guys. I am worried about the System Transfer process. I have a Switch 2 pre-order, but was only able to purchase an 256GB mSD Express card, both 512GB and 1TB cards are sold out everywhere I looked online. I am worried because my OLED Switch has an 1.5TB mSD card, and most of my games are digital. I have read and heard that during the System Transfer process, games will start downloading automatically onto the Switch 2, and I know I won't have enough room for everything. Has anyone heard anything on how all this will work/play out? I reached out to Nintendo Customer Support about this, and they didn't really have a response and the rep even said "no other information at this time". Thoughts and help GREATLY appreciated
