Actually, no. I was using stock firmware on an unpatched rom.

EDIT: wait, isn't the default firmware called Touchpod? if so that is what I'm using

EDIT 2: I have no tried manually hex editting AND using the code in the youtube video in conjuction with a hex editted rom and I still crash after any coin toss or the black screen after I select story mode

The comments might just have been referring to touchpod.

However, notice the menu selection in the youtube video. His slowdown is set at SPECIAL 0. That particular option wasn't implemented until recently. you won't have to go back that far

wait i think he did an arm7 patch,cause if you look carefully in the video the folder he goes to is yu gi oh folder... he did some kind of patch inside the ds.

somebody who has an earlier firmware (1.45 and up ) need to try this:
1. hex edit the rom
2. then drag the cheat.db that is posted in the link in your system folder
3. go to select that cheat database from the game manager
4.go to cheat menu
5. select the pyrate cheat
6. boot game and post results.

I had that as well, though I had a few crashes and just hex edited it. Still. I just plan on waiting until Tuesday to get the physical game.

so far for me (just started) on my acekard2i, the game works and loads fine but when i try to connect online, it gives me an error. is that the anti-piracy everyone is talking about?

Huh, anyone know people who got this game working on a R4SDHC? I'm on version 1.32 for anyone who wants to know.

Ive tried arm7, hex editing, patches, and AP cheats.

I get a black screen for arm7 and a "unable to read data" for the rest. :/

My hype over this game is slowly killing me because i cant play it. Thanks for anyone who cares to respond :]
