eh i used to play it a long time ago, had an exodia deck that could beat just about anyone in less than 10 turns.

I don't know if this is good for Yu-Gi-Oh (I used to play but it's been a while) but turn 10 seems REALLY slow. I know most MtG decks can win on turn 3 easily (at least).

EDIT: But my take on YuGiOh?

I used to be a huge player as a kid but nowadays I've dropped all my other card games for Magic. I think Magic is a much deeper and more imaginative game. YuGiOh does have the real advantage though of having consistent video game iterations, one thing that I kinda dislike about Magic (I mean there's Magic Online but I prefer the collection aspect in video game adaptations of card games).

I still own my cards but odds are I'll sell them with my Pokemon cards. It'll have some fond memories from when I was a kid but I don't exactly think highly of it as a game nowadays. No reason for me to rain on your topic though.

Yeah well back when i used to play there was only 1 way to win without depleting life points (and thats exodia) so short of drawing all the cards on your first hand (or few hands) that would be impossible lol.

Uh, what?

The only format with consistant turn 3 wins is vintage, and only the pure combo lists with full power nine could legitimately be considered "consistant" (probably the least popular official format, with such lists running in the many thousands of dollars).

Standard (the most popular format by a huge margin) average game length is anywhere between 6 and 15 turns, depending on the specific lists involved.

I was talking like vintage casual play, not tournament legal stuff.
