Hacking YSMENU

You just put 2 images of the right size into the YSMENU or TTMENU folder.

To make your own, you can modify the images from an existing skin in a paint program.

Yasu doesn’t want anyone to link to any pages other than his home page. Yasu’s home page is http://home.usay.jp/. It's mostly in Japanese, but to get YSMenu, follow these directions:[*]Click the "ETC" button in the main menu near the top beneath the title.[*]Select "Nintendo DS" (second item) from the table.[*]Search for "DS(T_T)DS" (CTRL-F) or just scroll about 2/3 of the way down until you see the heading in blue.[*]There is a scrollable text area beneath that heading. Lucky for me, I can't understand these Japanese instructions and I can just ignore them, Here is a useful link.

Also, he is disallowing people to host his stuff so that he can easily take them offline when shit happens. To prevent this to happen, I mirror his website personally, also wrote a keygen for those pesky registration thingies.

That's great, but Yasu does read this forum, and has decided in the past to discontinue development of YSMenu due to his instructions being ignored. Only when the mirrors were taken down and direct links to his software were removed did he continue development.

I don't personally care since I don't use YSMenu, but it would be a shame if he decided to stop development altogether just because folks felt compelled to mirror it publicly rather than just keeping their own personal copy of the software in case Yasu decided to take it offline.

I will agree YSMenu is about the best thing I've ever put on my DSTT.....I really love having a flashcart that'll run nearly every ROM there is

I think it has been mentioned before that YSMenu uses the official loader, so it's unlikely that it will run ROMs that the official menu doesn't run.

um i have an R4-iii and i was wondering if it is possible to run BOTH the official firmware AND YSMenu on the same card ? Seeing as how everyone loves it, i wanna try it out myself and see if it is really good (hoping it is)

Rename the official TTMENU.dat to TTMENU.nds.
