Even if it was tricked into thinking it was a older version or so, the Wii would not be able to run it.

opening the leanbacklite_wii in a flash player standalone isn’t gonna work, u will have to test it on the wii, by localhosting the swf in maybe flask, apache, nginx or any of those to turn on a server
and then use a swf decompiler, mostly jpex to open the 2 wii shim files, go to “scripts” -> _Packages -> com.google.youtube.tv.wii.shim.ShimBase and then replace the appUrl from:
“https://www.youtube.com/wiitv” to “http://127.0.0.1/wiitv” and the label url to “http://127.0.0.1/s/tv/wii/config”
I can help u getting started on local hosting in order to test ur wad and to make the appUrl load and display the leanbacklite_wii file

Hey, small suggestion while you're working on your client: Why not add a option to toggle either the YouTube or Liinback logos?
I mean we could make it locally host the videos I mean it's just a thought, like we could have a server with not all of YouTube but some of the videos! And with a thing like that you could also add a thing for people to locally host their videos!
Right now the .swf files load on the Wii, however they fail to load real internet data with invalid HTTPS errors. Perhaps an issue with SSL certs. Due to the updated API the calls need to be redirected to the new YouTube API as well as alternate frontends such as Invidious (what @/Larsenv's WiiMC YouTube plugin does)
you could theoretically get a site going with invidious that uses the flash files as a front end. even if it has to be locally hosted, its still a huge step forward
