No.Is this possible on a modded Switch without using Linux or Android?
I've tried Pi-hole but it doesn't block ads. What about a DNS blocker ? Never tried it so idk if the app could behave against it or not, but usually when it's impossible to mod an app it's the 2nd best solution
What about ad guard DNS?I've tried Pi-hole but it doesn't block ads.
That'd only do half the work of ReVanced. YouTube is unwatchable without SponsorBlock these days. What about ad guard DNS?
I'm using it on my phone and it's working.
already have ReVanced for youtube and twitter, the ad guard for browser. That'd only do half the work of ReVanced. YouTube is unwatchable without SponsorBlock these days.

Someone did this to the native ps4 app recently so surely it’s possible here tooNo.
Even if you could use adblock in the embedded browser somehow, video playback is disabled in the embedded browser, so the only option is the app. Needless to say building adblock into the app is not a straightforward endeavor.
I believe the app is just a customized browser, at least this used to be the case with YouTube in the past, I assume it still is, since it's easier to maintain this way.Someone did this to the native ps4 app recently so surely it’s possible here too
Is there even a good one yet? I’ve only found free tube and some other one. Both are clunky and fail to play video often for meIt would be easier to port an opensource YouTube viewer. Pi Hole and dns blockers doesn't work since they push the ads in the video stream
People say NewPipe is good. But I just wish it could login and act like the normal client with subscribed channels, do comments etc.Is there even a good one yet? I’ve only found free tube and some other one. Both are clunky and fail to play video often for me

Ditto: Invidious is a frontend/viewer web application, so it works in any browser as long as the required video codecs are present. Given the recent onslaught of bots though, you may have trouble getting past captcha set up by the administrators on older browser engines. It would be easier to port an opensource YouTube viewer. I haven't used Android (or iOS for that matter) for a while, so I haven't relied on mobile streaming service viewers, but during my time with NewPipe, I had no problems so long as I kept it up to date. Of course, that could become a problem soon, but I doubt Switch could be considered a certified Android device in any universe.People say NewPipe is good. (Last time I tested it didn't work)
It doesn't need to. It's intended to browse and watch videos without giving up your privacy. Logging in, just like commenting, would defeat the purpose. You can do subscriptions, playlists, and history, but they are local only and under the control of the end user, which is a good thing that is sadly becoming too scarce.People say NewPipe is good. Sure it might defeat the purpose of privacy. But if I want to add comments etc is something I would want sometimes. It doesn't need to. There's also Tubular, which is based on Newpipe but adds Sponsorblock.
Yes but I don't have Android TV, so a fully ad-free Youtube on a Switch HOS would be wonderful.DON'T YOU GUYS HAVE PHONES?
