How do you put all the texture files into PK3DS and then inside the ROM of XY/ORAS itself? That part is the most confusing:(

I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything, but how do you edit the start screen on the bottom of the 3DS console in ORAS? I've been trying to add a Shadow Ho-Oh there for my ROM Hack Shadow Gold

So, how exactly would I go about making an X/Y model compatible with OR/AS? Someone here said it was possible, but I'm not entirely sure how. I'd like to port a few battlefields from X/Y to OR/AS, and possible vice versa, but I need to know how this is done before that can happen. Thanks if you can help, if not, no harm done, really.
That was me :P Yeah, you can, you just need to port the model and for characters, port the armature in Blender. If you want BGs, I'm pretty sure they're just textures. But yeah, I based my Ash off Calem and got it working in ORAS. I just ported the armature. IDK if it's 100% consistant though, because all of the X/Y character models were ported to ORAS.

Does the Ash Greninja model work in Pokémon X/Y? And can someone give me the Ash model for X/Y or ORAS?

Thank you!!!
Sure dude, but I haven't got around to making an OW model yet, so it's just an in-battle model. Sorry! :(

Here, put this in the 3.garc

Not all are just textures. Places such as the battefield used for Lumiose City's alleyways, as well as locations such as the Elite 4 in X/Y, that bridge you fight your rivals on, and the WCS arena are fully modeled. Likewise, locations such as the Contest Hall, Tate and Liza's Gym, and the Sky Pillar are fully modeled in ORAS as well. For some of the more simplistic maps in X/Y I could easily export all the .obj and place them over ORAS maps because they'd have a similar number of faces to properly show up. The map in particular I was trying to port was the Lumiose Alleyways, which is probably the most detailed map I can think of between both games.

Oh, my bad. I thought it was just a skybox. Yeah, you could probably just export it, I guess, but the faces thing is really killing a lot of great mods. Too bad no one is working on this, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Yeah, that's the main reason I can't just export everything and port it over like that, (which I have already done with other models such as OWs, and what not) at least not for this map in particular. It's far too complex. I'll definitely look further into it, but I doubt it'd be possible with how limited Ohana is in terms of imports and exports.

I know, and it's frustrating! The only thing we can do is wait for someone to fork Ohana. Personally though, I plan to rom hack Sun and Moon, not Gen 6, because of the improved mechanics like no more low-poly models (finally) and improved battle features. Maybe we can even port some of the high-poly trainer mods and Pokemon to Gen 7? It HAS to use some form of a .bch, since the engine must be the same. Oh well, guess we'll just have to wait and see! :)

Yeah, possibly. With any luck, they'll keep the exact same .BCH format that OR/AS is using. That'll make porting from Gen 6 to 7, or even 7 to 6 (Alolan Sandslash in Hoenn, for example) that much easier. Who knows? We only have a few months left to wait, but I can't wait to start digging through Moon's files as soon as I finish it.

Yeah same! The thing I'm most excited about is pretty nerdy, but I'm most excited about the fact that the camera now shows trainers in battle and that low-poly models don't exist anymore! Reminds me of Colosseum. But now mods will be easy since every trainer class has a battle model now!

Very true.

I want to port my Ash to Gen 7, because the protaganist has similar body proportions to him, and he has a backpack. I'm sure Red would be easy too, just port the hair and re-arrange the textures and you're done! (I mean re-arrange them in UV mapping in Blender, but you know what I mean)

I think his name is Ellio? And the female is Selene? No idea, saw it in a trailer, and trailers usually use default names, but I could be wrong. I mean. Brendan was Orlando in the ORAS demo, no idea why lol

Alright, so I would really like if someone could make a thing where it's Brenden without the hat (from his contest sprite) for the overworld. I've tried, but can't figure out how to edit the gaps in the head model once it's on the other body/face. There are two small ones above his face right where the hat would be sort of and another big one in the back.

To S/M should work flawlessly, as it is the same kind of model; battle model. It's funny that people say there is graphical change when there's really not.
