Since the OS emulates the cart slot, I doubt you need a card in it

New switch owner here. Since I'm about to order the SX Pro soon, should I NOT sync my nintendo account onto my switch? I do own physical Mario Odyssey.

Also, does anyone know if internet is needed to use the SX Pro everytime I wanna boot it up and play backups? I'm sorry if someone already answered this before x.x

You should probably use a dummy account while using the SX. And no you don’t need Internet every time

Is it possible to get updates for games are it is going to be stuck to whatever the version of the game begin dumped at? Example, there have been a lot of free updates for Xenoblade II. If i get sx os, is it possible top get update for backup?

As far as i know it will be posible to update the games to the lasr versions , but will have to wait and test when the Os gets realeased !

As i am aware you can connect to the eshop and download updates , what you have to avoid is online playing .
Example : you got Mario kart 8 back up ( that a friend share with you lol )
then you can connect to the eshop and download the Mario Kart 8 update ,,,, but what you have to avoid is playing online Race: or most surely get banned .
Remember that we are assuming this , so if you want to be safe wait a few weeks after the OS x is out and tested .
Im for sure going to try to update the games , but becuase i just dont mine get banned because im not interesting in playing online .

Any connection to the Internet while you are using TX's CFW can get you banned. That includes downloading game updates, accessing the eShop, or even keeping an Internet connection on the Switch. The only way you will never be banned is be keeping the Switch in airplane mode. The only thing we cannot confirm is how likely you are to be banned but given that the Switch sends an insane amount of data to Nintendo compared to previous devices, the chances have increased at the very least.

Nah, updating games and fw is just simple task and don’t have risk of bans, SciresM said it

When you connect the dongle to the pc does it appear as a drive storage?
How do you update payloads on the dongle? Does the OS do it?

Here's a simple question for anyone - does the run other payload option in the SX OS bootloader look for a specific filename or does it let you choose from whatever payloads are on your sd card? Cheers.
