%USERPROFILE%\.switch

on that folder most of the new tools will look for the prod.keys file.

For XCI-Exploerer you need to copy them to "tools\bin\keys.dat" relatively to the XCI-Explorer.exe location
%USERPROFILE%\.switch\keys
tools\bin\keys

I added the keys above and even so when opening the program it asks for the keys.

XCI-Explorer NEEDS you copy the file «prod.keys» in a SUBFOLDER OF THE ONE WHERE XCI-Explorer IS, that subfolder is tools\bin\ and the file must be called keys.dat .

By example, if you extract XCI-Explorer on C:\TOOLS\XCIE\ you must to copy your prod.keys file to

C:\TOOLS\XCIE\tools\bin\keys.dat
