ROM Hack Question XCI creation

I have been wondering for the past 3 months or so, how, exactly, do you create XCI dumps? I see 10+ tools for manipulating them, and nothing for how to create them. While it is true that we don't know what the final format Backup Loaders will use, XCI would seem the safest option to dump to for now, since it is 1 step to get NCAs and another for RomFS.

XCI is the format that the XS OS backuploader uses (confirmed by team xecuter).

I've seen somewhere a pegaswitch script to create xci dumps.

There is a Homebrew Menu NRO XCI dumper that works on most firmwares. I dumped Lost Sphere with it today since BBB hasn't yet:



But it's not perfect, it can't handle the newer games with logo partitions.
