before i spend $60 for new one is there a way to fix it?
Does it get physically stuck or does it register a press even when the button is not physically pressed in?
Anyway, the suggestion for these kinds of things is always to take it apart and clean the mechanism with IPA. Often it's some gunk or dust that got stuck and is jamming the mechanism or causing a short and IPA is all you need to loosen it up. In the case of analog triggers that means trying to get it inside the potentiometer, using sprayable IPA or some other kind of sprayable electronics cleaner or just using a q-tip soaked in IPA and dabbing it on any openings where it could get in, pressing the trigger a bunch of times to spread it out, repeat a few times. Very similar to what you would do for stick drift or other analog stick issues. It's not guaranteed to work, sometimes you have to replace the entire pot, which would in all likelihood require soldering.
