Xbox's anticipated games showcase event is happening soon! The official Xbox Twitter account made the announcement via a new tweet. This July 23rd, tune in on YouTube/Twitch at 9am PT for the event's stream! A Summer Game Fest pre-show event hosted by Geoff Keighley will take place at 8am on YouTube.

Sorry gotta disagree with you here. PS5 presentation was kinda lame only games I found interesting was GT7 and also the new Horizion game but both of those games come out in 2021.I'm interested in seeing what Microsoft is going to bring to the table. We still know nothing about the PS5 and we already know that the series-X is going to be BC wiith legacy 360 games and xbox game. If Microsoft have good launch titles they are going to start off good. To my knowedge the only launch title for PS5 that is worthy is spiderman.

the ps5 reveal presentation started with a sellout slot cramming an ad for a 7 year old game and ended on a router, microsoft can show a pencil sharpener and it will get a better reaction than sony's marketing-hip snore fest ( not mentioning the talking head bits they stole from the equally boring american nintendo indie directs )
it doesn't mean anything

it's not like it maters anyway, either console isn't getting anything worthwile till like 3 years into its life
we'll probably be getting some new "crackdown 3"s though

I been with Sony for 15 years and BC was always a good thing to have since your older hardware breaks. I really cant say it is "essential" but it is nice to have. The PS3 had it but it cost them a fortune and the $499 and $599 was out of people price range so they ditched the Idea. IMO the "diskless" model should have existed and they should have offered a more "premium model" that offered BC. I personally feel we are not ready for a all digital console. Most my games on my Xbox One S are either Gamepass or Gold but I do have some disks due to sweet deals.

You are right it is good to wait 3 years because during that time graphics would improve. In 3 years the PS5/Series X is going to drop in price and offer a good bundle pack. I have a ton of backlog on my PS4 and my Xbox One S to keep me busy I just want to be sure the next time I buy a console I will have the time to play and enjoy my games versus them sitting. I have too much backlog to play the pic below is my wall of games to finish the only games I beaten on this list was Drive Club, Naruto Ninja Storm 4 and Pokemon sword. This is maybe 20% of my backlog because I'm not including my modded systems on the list lol
